Chapter 7
Sienna:
“How could you be so fucking reckless?” Damon snapped as he reflected on his anger. “How the hell could you allow this to
happen in the first place?”
“What are you talking about? What the hell did I do?” I asked, frowning in confusion at his question. He couldn’t be seriously asking me something like this, not after everything that he had done, not after he had tried to use me the way that he did.
“How did you allow yourself to get pregnant? How could you allow something so stupid to happen to reckless to happen?” He asked, shaking his head in question. “Who did you think you are to keep carrying the alpha’s baby?
“I’m sorry, but you’re being serious right now, Damon?” I asked, voicing out my question.
“Of course I’m being serious. You would have been dead if I hadn’t found you. How would you have taken care of the child? Have you looked at yourself? You couldn’t even take care of your own self. Have you seen how weak you’ve become?” He asked, making my heart drop. He couldn’t be asking me something like this. He couldn’t just be speaking to me this way.
After everything that he had done, he was just speaking to me as if it was my fault. How could a person do that? How could a
person be as cruel as to do something like that?
“Because of you, my life is now ruined. I’m stuck with a person like you, and I lost Lysandra.” He said, making me let out a bitter
laugh before I could stop myself.
“I ruined your life when you are the one who cheated on her, when you are the one who roamed around me until I gave you a chance? I am the one who ruined your life regardless?” I asked, my eyes hardening as I looked at the man who stood in front of
- me.
His
was one that I could not understand.
“Didn’t you spread your legs for me?”
“Get out.
“I beg your pardon?”
“Get the fuck out of my sight, Damon.” I said, snapping at him before I could stop myself.
Damon opened his mouth to speak, but I cut him off. This town yelling out, not wanting him to stay here. This time he had
crossed the line that he shouldn’t have. I did not want him to. No matter how much I loved him, no matter how much I
appreciated and respected him in the past, I wouldn’t have allowed him to touch me had he not roamed around me the way that he did, had he not given me hope.
“GET OUT!”
I went to open my mouth one more time to speak, only for a team of nurses and attack doctor to rush inside the room. Of course, I

couldn’t blame them, me yelling at the alpha this way. It was not a good idea, especially after the complication that I had when I was giving birth. I did not even understand how I gave birth and the situation that I was in, but I assume that a C–section was the
way that it happened.
“Alpha, she needs to rest,” the doctor said, stepping forward with a syringe. She injected something into my IV, and the edges of my vision blurred. “For now, she needs to stay away from stress. Her body is extremely weak, and I’m surprised she survived childbirth. As for the baby, she’ll need round–the–clock supervision. We’ve assigned nurses to monitor her until she gains her strength.”
“And the mother?” Damon asked, his tone devoid of any warmth. He didn’t even care about the situation that I was in. Of course he didn’t. All I knew was that despite wanting to speak, I couldn’t. My body felt too heavy for me to be able to process my own weight, my own mind, and my own thoughts.
“She may not be able to produce enough milk to feed the child,” the doctor said carefully, glancing at me. “The baby will need formula supplementation ”
is eyes on me.
“Make sure the nurses stay with her at all times. The child’s well–being comes first.” He said, rolling his
My stomach turned at his words, but I knew better than to open my mouth to speak. I couldn’t even think of the right words to say anyway. Even if I wanted to speak, I wouldn’t have been able to.
“Yes, Alpha.”
It t wasn’t until Damon’s attention turned to me, his gaze and eyes cold as he studied my expression, that I frowned when he spoke.
“You’ll regret having this child, Sienna. Do you understand me?”
Little did he know, I already regretted everything.
The bedroom door was knocked and I was taken off guard as I knew that no one was actually willing to knock on the door or come and visit me.
Kael and Luna Evelyn entered the room, Luna Evelyn cradling my baby in her arms. The sight of my daughter brought fresh tears to my eyes, but I quickly blinked them away.
I did not want them to see me crying. Ldid not need them to see me crying, especially not now. I needed to be strong. My own body needed me to be strong.
“We thought you’d want to see her,” Luna Evelyn said gently.
Damon stood and approached his mother, his movements slow and deliberate. He took the baby from her arms, his expression unreadable as he looked down at our daughter.
For a moment, I thought I saw his eyes soften. But just as quickly, the coldness returned.
He turned to me, his jaw tight. “Here.”

I stared at her for a long moment, my heart twisting painfully. My hands trembled as I reached out, only to pull them back.
“Take her back to the incubator,” I said quietly, my voice barely above a whisper. If I held her, I knew that I was not going to be
able to let her go and they were going to take her away from me anyway. I couldn’t protect her. He was right. Something in me
told me that he was.
“Sienna,” Damon said, frowning in confusion. “I know you want to hold her…”
“I said, take her away,” I snapped, cutting him off.
Luna Evelyn and Alpha Kael exchanged a worried glance, Damon’s frown deepened, but he didn’t argue. He stood and handed the
baby back to his mother before turning to face me.
“What are you doing, Sienna?” he asked, his voice low and dangerous..
“I’m doing exactly what you wanted,” I said bitterly. “You said I wasn’t qualified to be her mother. So I’m stepping aside. Now if you don’t have anything else to tell me, I would like to rest. Please take the child and get out of my sight.”
