Chapter 17
Damon:
“Do what is necessary for my daughter. Even if it means taking her by force.” I said, looking at the pack nurses who nodded.
The tension in my chest was not one that I could easily just ignore. I could still hear Sienna’s voice, sharp and then wavering, ringing in my ears.
And me?
The question had been quiet, but it was laced with something I couldn’t quite put my finger on. A challenge. A plea. A wound that had yet to heal. And I knew that she was going to do what it was that she could do to try and defend Isla. However, if it meant that she was going to take her from me, then I would rather I killed her before that happened.
I clenched my jaw, pushing the thought aside. It didn’t matter. The only thing that mattered was the child. My daughter. Our daughter. She should not have her as a mother in the first place, however, considering that she was the one who carried her, I was going to allow her to call herself a mother. But, I also knew this. She was not even fit to be one.
I let out a slow breath as I made my way down the hallway, knowing that this was a matter that I was going to need to take care of. The entire pack knew about Sienna now. Knew about her child. Knew that their Alpha had fathered a daughter with a woman who should have never held that position in the first place.
She was nothing but an Omega. A low rank that I should have gotten rid of a long time ago. I should have put her in place the second I became alpha. I should have told my father that I did not want her around, at least not my parameter. But I did not. I respected the fact that things were different between us, that she was a friend, that she grew up as one.
Let’s hold it. I know they’re not pushing her away was going too cost and a lot.
I had spent years molding my reputation into one of strength and power, and in one single moment, it had cracked.
Now, I had to contain the damage.
I had to fix what she had created with her reckless behavior. And I was going to need to do it fast
Stepping into my office, I barely had time to process my own thoughts before the door swung open again. My father.
The one person who would rather die than admit that her presence amongst us was wrong. The one person who would be more than willing to defend her, even if it meant standing against his own son to be doing so.
He stood tall, his sharp features hardened in disappointment as he shut the door behind him. His presence alone filled the room. with an unspoken authority that had never quite settled well with me. He was not even the Alpha and yet, he believed that he can just barge into the office the way that he did, stand thinking that he had the authority to do so, and expect those around to
submit.
“Interesting approach,” he said, his voice calm but laced with underlying disapproval. “Threatening the mother of your child. To
have the nurses take the child by force.”

I scoffed, running a hand through my hair. “I did what was necessary. The child needs to be taken care of and she is not going to be able to do so. I believe that you can understand that very well by just looking at her.”
Kael crossed his arms, his piercing gaze settling on me. “Necessary for whom? You? Or the child you’re so conveniently claiming now? I genuinely am curious about what changed right now.”
I bristled at his tone. “She wants to leave ”
“She should leave,” he corrected. “But you made sure that wasn’t an option, didn’t you? You made sure that she cannot leave. It’s not like you want her around anyway. What changed?”
I clenched my fists, my patience wearing thin. “Isla is my daughter. My blood. She belongs here. She belongs by my side within the pack, whether or not she likes it. However, the Omega is more than welcome to leave.”
**Then start acting like it,” he said coldly. “You want to parade around like the Alpha you were born to be? Then stop treating this situation like a fucking inconvenience. That girl nearly died carrying your child. And instead of taking responsibility, you’re too busy ensuring your image stays intact. The Omega has a name, and if there is anything that had happened, it was your fault too. It is not like this happened simply because of her.”
