leave until you’re willing to see me.”
The incident had caused a stir online in just a few hours, and everyone was talking about it. Many people were envious of the person for whom Nicholas was professing his love. Only Quinn knew how much of a headache this was giving her.
Nicholas waited at the airport for a whole day. He stood there until his legs went numb, and people gave him odd looks. He didn’t give up, though.
He knew Quinn would come to him–she was too softhearted not to. Just as he thought this, he saw a familiar figure. It was Quinn!
He stumbled to her, his tears streaming before he could even say anything. “I missed you so much, Quinn.”
He wanted to pull her into his arms after dreaming about her for days, but she dodged him. He looked at her, unsure what to do
“Get in the car. I don’t want people to look at me like I’m a circus act,” she said. She turned and headed to her car without waiting for him to respond.
A trace of confusion flickered in Nicholas‘ eyes when he saw her get into the front passenger seat. Still, he ran after her. Then, he

saw Gabriel in the driver’s seat. It was clear Quinn didn’t expect Nicholas to drive.
“Let’s go to the riverside.” Quinn noticed Gabriel’s collar was untidy. She reached out to tidy it for him.
Nicholas was furious when he saw this but held back for the time being.
They got out of the car after pulling up by the riverside.
Nicholas gave Quinn an aggrieved look. “Can you tell him to leave? I have many things I want to tell you privately; I don’t want
any outsiders with us.”
Quinn had had many admirers in the past, but she’d never given them the time of day. Despite working with many young and
handsome actors, she’d never gotten embroiled in any scandals.
She’d once told him she would give him all the security he needed, so he naturally thought she would chase Gabriel away for his
sake. He was disappointed this time, though.
Quinn merely looked at Nicholas coolly without saying a word. He felt like his heart had been stabbed. It hurt like hell.
He took a step closer to Quinn. He sounded on the verge of tears as he said, “I know you’re still mad at me–I’m willing to do anything to appease you and make it up to you. I only ask that you stop putting on this act to get back at me. It really upsets me.”
Quinn raised an eyebrow at him. She said icily, “Did you go to all this trouble to find me so that you could tell me this nonsense?”
She couldn’t be bothered to get even with him over everything that had happened, and she’d never thought about wanting him to compensate her in any way. The way she saw it, what had happened in the past should remain there.
She’d already given up on Nicholas, which meant she would never turn back. She would no longer give in to him, no matter what
he did.
“Did h
he say something to you to drive a wedge between us?” Nicholas glared daggers at Gabriel at Quinn’s words.
“Quinn is mine! Don’t think I don’t know what you’re up to–you think you can swoop in just because Quinn and I have had a fight. I’ve seen many men like you, but it’s going to take more than an outsider like you to break the bond Quinn and I share!” he
cried.
