Nicholas had never noticed Jasmine’s posts. The ones on hot milk and beef stew–it turned out Quinn had seen them all.
He continued browsing through her account. He then saw that Jasmine had sent Quinn a message using her alternative account, asking her to look out of the window,
Nicholas tried to recall what he was doing downstairs then. Upon recalling his memory, he clutched his head in pain before slamming it against the table.
He was kissing Jasmine when Quinn looked down.
No wonder she would suddenly collapse, looking beyond pale that day. She must have been agitated watching that scene, causing her heart to act up.
Nicholas clutched his chest painfully. It was as if he was feeling the pain Quinn had felt then, but everything was too late now.
He refused to give up just like that. He decided to look for her and bring her back. He wanted to compensate her for the rest of his
life.
Nicholas ran down and rushed over to Stella’s workplace. She only walked out of the research center at night.
He hurried over and begged, “You know where Quinn is, don’t you? Can you please tell me where she is?”
Back then, Quinn came over to Heathridge alone for him, giving up on her career which resulted in a fallout with the professor
closest to her.
Besides Nicholas, she only had Stella and Thomas in Heathridge.
However, Quinn had a complicated relationship with Thomas. While she may worry about his well–being, she would never ask
him to back her up.
Stella was the only one left to consider.
Stella quietly watched Nicholas with a frown. She was aware of what happened between the both of them, as such she knew how
badly Quinn was hurt.
That was why she did not bother hiding her disdain when she looked at him. “If she has made this choice, that means she’s not going to forgive you. So, why are you still trying to look for her?
“Your feelings for Jasmine run so deep, shouldn’t you be happy now that Quinn is willing to let the two of you be together? After
all, the one you truly loved was only Jasmine,” Stella said scornfully, looking at him with a mocking smile.
“I know I was wrong–it’s my fault that I let Quinn down. Can you please tell me where she is now?” Nicholas, the once–proud heir of the York family who never lowered himself for anyone, was now utterly humbled
