Chapter 27
Before Ginnie could react, someone behind her covered her nose and mouth with a soaked cloth.
After inhaling the pungent scent, Ginnie fell limp.

Then, she lifted the lighter in her hand. “Well then, try and guess how you’ll die later.”
Ginnie shouted in panic, “You’re crazy! You’ll face the death penalty if you kill me! Calm down!”
But Snow did not seem to care. She lit up the lighter and threw Ginnie a wink. “Why should I be scared? Even if I die, you’re dying
with me. It’s worth it.”
Right before Snow lit up the gasoline, someone stopped her with a shout.
“Stop!”
The janitor showed up at the door and removed his mask and cap.
“Let Ginnie go. If you want to take revenge, come at me.”

At that moment, Ginnie finally saw the janitor’s face, and her eyes flew wide with shock. That man… was Adam!
When Snow saw Adam, she was overcome by rage and said, “How dare you show up here, Adam?!”
Adam raised his hands and cautiously approached Snow while he tried to appease her. “I know that you hate me. So take revenge against me instead. You can do whatever you want for your revenge, just let Ginnie go.”

Fire instantly exploded. Adam could not care less about anything else by then and started hitting Snow at her vital points.
When Snow no longer had the strength to fight back, he crawled over to untie Ginnie.
“Hang in there, Ginnie. I won’t let anything happen to you. I promised you this, and I won’t break my promise this time!”
But his worry about Ginnie made his hands tremble.
By then, Ginnie had sucked in a large amount of smoke, and her consciousness was already blurring.
“Adam, forget about me. Just go.”
