Chapter 22
Despite her irritation, Ginnie still took the box.
When she opened it, her scowl deepened.
In the box were all the presents, letters, and photos she had burned.
After taking a closer look, she realized that Adam had bought new copies of the presents. He also used some method to replicate the dolls and other handicraft projects they had made.
The letters were copies, and Adam had used technology to restore the copies and print out the photos.
But Ginnie remained unmoved, and Adam hurriedly said, “Ginnie, due to time restraints, I still haven’t managed to restore all of
our memories, but I promise you, I’ll do my best to restore them.”
Ginnie sneered. “Yeah. I believe that.”
Even though he had not restored everything, she could still tell that Adam had put in a lot of effort to put together the things in
the box.
Even she could not guarantee that she could do better than Adam.
Those words lit up hope in Adam. “I’m glad that you believe me. Look at these. Do you remember the happy moments we had together? I can tell you clearly right now that when we made these dolls and projects, when we exchanged letters, and we took
those photos together, I loved you truly and purely, without any other woman in my mind.”
At the end, Adam choked up.
He hated himself for discovering the truth too late and for letting Ginnie down. All the times he spent with Ginnie were actually
the few moments of happiness he had in his life.
Ginnie smiled bitterly before throwing the box on the ground.
In the face of Adam’s shock, she said softly, “But that’s not what I think. Everything in the box reminds me of my stupidity and
how horribly I suffered from your lies when I loved you wholeheartedly. You said that you loved me when you were with me? But
to me, you got closer to me for Snow’s sake. How could you possibly have loved me?”
She clapped her hands, and Oliver brought out a pail containing fire.
She bent down and picked up all the things scattered on the ground before throwing all of them into the pail.
Then, she shrugged at Adam. “Look. If I can burn those things once, I can burn them twice. To me, those things are already
garbage.”
“No!”
Adam’s eyes were wide with agitation. As he shouted, he wanted to grab the burning photos, but two security guards pinned him.

down.
Right then, Gray came over with Sirius supporting him.
He patted Ginnie’s shoulder. “Go do whatever it is that you need to do, Ginnie. I’ll take care of the rest.”
Worried, Ginnie said, “Grandpa…”
Sirius simply smiled as he threw an arm around Ginnie’s shoulder and steered her to the car.
“Gray might look like he’s just a doting grandfather, but he’s still someone who has fought in wars and was a formidable businessman. He’s much stronger than
you think he is. Don’t worry.”
After Sirius left with Ginnie, Gray’s expression instantly turned cold, making the hardened Adam feel intimidated.
Once he was brought into Gray’s study, Adam said, “Mr. Sullivan, no matter what you say, I won’t give up on Ginnie.”
Gray narrowed his eyes, and he gave off an awe–inspiring presence. “Are you saying that you would fight against the entirety of
the Sullivan family alone?”
