Natalia cut in, clearly annoyed, Victoria’s just trying to take advantage of the situation. Even with Ella injured, Victoria’s still bullying her!”
Victoria just shrugged and grinned, Tll only play once, and any missed shots count as hers. Sound fair?”
The ref looked uneasy, “But that’s not fair to you.”
Ella fell a rush of
of excitement. Victoria was so cocky; could she really avoid any mistakes?
If Victoria messed up even once, Ella could win without lifting a finger. What a steal!
Ella, still dealing
g with her bloody nose, quickly agreed, worried Victoria might change her mind.
Victoria smirked, “She agreed. Let’s wrap this up today.”
The ref glanced at Eric, who nodded, and then announced the match would go on.
The c
crowd buzzed with chatter. Some thought Victoria was just that good, while others thought she was being cocky and would lose.
This rule was definitely in Ella’s favor.

The third round was her turn to break. With this rule, she’d get a free point, and in a best–of–three format, she’d win.

Mira jumped up excitedly, “Victoria, you won even with those tough rules. Let’s see them question your skills now.”
The ref announced Victoria’s victory and asked if anyone had any objections.
Ella wanted to protest but couldn’t bring herself to

Natalia shouted angrily, “Ella fainted! Victoria, you’re such a bully!”
Dennis suggested. “Why don’t you take her to the medical room first?
Lila, supporting Ella, looked upset and said, “Dennis, we’re all girls. We can’t carry Ella.”
She hinted that Dennis, the nicest guy there, should help.

along with it.
The next day, at the new member meeting, they found out only three of the twenty new members were girls.
The third girl was Isadora Penrose, wearing black framed glasses, a math major, with skills on par with Mira.
Victoria was hailed as the best newcomer, not just for her skills but also for her stunning looks.
During introductions, an upperclassman girl asked her, “Victoria, are you entering this year’s Campus Queen contest?”
Victoria replied, “What’s the Campus Queen?”
Mira chimed in, “I think Victoria should totally run for Campus Queen. I’ve never seen anyone prettier than her!”
The upperclassman girl, Elise Sinclair, was also the head of the student council’s publicity department.
Every year, Nexus College held a Campus Queen contest, and Elise was the main organizer.
She was super into appearances and adored beautiful people, whether they were guys or girls.

Chapter 47 Campus Queen Selection–2
When she saw Victoria, she grabbed her hand excitedly and said, “Victoria, you have to help us out! Our Snooker Club barely has any girls, and we haven’t won the Campus Queen title in years. With you here, we might finally have a shot!”
Including the new members, the Snooker Club had fewer than twenty girls.
They always prioritized skill over looks. Sure, they won a ton of awards and outshined the Dance Club in that department, but when it came to entertainment, they couldn’t compete.
For instance, the Dance Club always snagged the Campus Queen title Whenever Nexus College held a promotional event, it was always the Dance Club that snagged the prime spot for the main performance. The Dance Club loved to rub it in their faces and aimed to be the top club.
Everyone got caught up in the excitement and took Victoria’s photo for the club registration. It was just a simple 2×2 inch photo with a blue background, a white shirt, no makeup, and her forehead showing.
Elise looked at the photo and said, “Victoria, this is too plain, but your natural beauty will get you through the preliminaries. For the later stages, we’ll need a full–body photo with a killer vibe!”
Victoria reluctantly nodded.
Once Victoria’s photo was uploaded, everyone in the Snooker Club rallied to vote for her.
They were sick of the Dance Club and figured if they could beat them in the Campus Queen competition, it would finally put the Dance Club in their place.
Eric treated everyone to a meal to welcome the new members and build some camaraderie.
Since some majors had evening classes, they planned the event for Sturday night.
He picked a few spots, including fancy hotels and roadside outdoor restaurants, and let everyone vote in the group chat.
Victoria saw a place called “Smokestack Grill & Barbecue, which mached the IP address of “Shadow” from last time. Curious, she picked the outdoor restaurant,

Eric was indeed a thoughtful club president!
That day, everyone gradually arrived at Smokestack Grill & Barbecue.
It was a small outdoor restaurant. It had two indoor floors, but only enough space for six or seven tables, with more tables set up
outside.
Eric had booked the whole place. The owner had never seen such a high paying customer, offering twice the usual

There weren’t many people, fewer than a hundred, so they could finish early.
The owner carefully instructed Ryan to take good care of the guests, hoping for repeat business.
Ella thought the place was dirty, b with the crowd.

Ryan, arriving for his shift, saw w Ella at the entrance and asked her to step aside.
Ella turned

She stepped back and frowned, asking, “Is a Snooker Club having a gathering here today?”
Ryan noticed her disdain and thought some girls were just like that. Even though he didn’t smell, his scruffy appearance made them treat him like a beggar.
Ryan didn’t like her either, shook his head, and went straight to the kitchen without answering.

The owner quickly came out, “Hello, miss. The place is booked tonight. Are you from Nexus College’s Snooker Club? Although it’s not time yet, you can sign in and we’ll start serving you.”
Ella hesitated, not expecting Eric to still have the guest list. How could she sneak in now?
