The Inescapable Celibate Heir
Chapter 42 Landlord and Tenant–1
David Moked at her with a warm smile, “Victoria, it’s a hassle to rush home for dinner every day. Your mom and I got you an apartment near the school, so you can chill there after class.”
Victoria glanced at the access card for Lavender Fields Manor, a fancy place just a five–minute walk from Nexus College in Sunhaven. Thanks, Dad.”
Diana handed Victoria a piece of foie gras, “Victoria, have some more. If anything happens at school, let us know.”
Victoria smiled sweetly. Thanks, Mom.”

Diana put down her utensils and asked, “Victoria, I heard the Scott Family’s daughter from Silvervale is at Nexus College too. Is she giving you a hard time?”
Victoria swallowed her food and said casually, “Mom, don’t worry, I can handle it.”
David cleared his throat, “Victoria, as a Hamilton, remember we don’t owe the Scott family anything. Don’t hesitate to come to us if you need support.”
Victoria nodded. “Got it.”
Diana added, “I just want you to be happy, that’s all.”
They adored Victoria and always put her first.
Ella was always targeting Victoria at Nexus College with one scheme after another.
Though it was annoying, Victoria found fighting back quite fun. She didn’t want them to step in; she wanted to beat Ella on her own terms, making her back off for good.
Victoria enjoyed giving Ella hope only to crush it at the last moment watching her joy turn to anger. Only then did she feel her
evenge was complete.
There were three days left until the snooker semifinals.
After class, Victoria planned to visit Lavender Fields Manor and had the driver pick up Flora from home to get familiar with the new place.
Flora, having eaten well at The Hamilton Mansion, had grown chubby in just a week and looked like a furball nestled in her bag.
Victoria f
reached out to tease it, and Flora lazily extended a paw for a handshake, yawning as if it had just woken up.
Carrying Flora, Victoria strolled along the tree lined path, feeling at pase.
As she approached the entrance of Lavender Fields Manor, she heard a commotion ahead.
It was Ella and her friends.
After Wendy was expelled, Natalia and Lila were somewhat dissatisfied.
They felt that Ella wasn’t as prestigious as she claimed, just a bit wealthier than the average person, and their enthusiasm for her hud waned.

To maintain her image as a wealthy heiress, Ella invited them to Lavender Fields Manor.
When they learned that Ella lived at Lavender Fields Manor, they were both amazed because even renting there had high standards. it wash just about paying several thousand dollars a month.
The three were registering at the gate because Ella, being a tenant, couldn’t bring friends in freely.
The security guard questioned them thoroughly to ensure they wouldn’t disturb the residents.
After signing, Lila sharply complained, “Natalia, no wonder it’s Lavender Fields Manor; even the security
Natalia, embarrassed, whispered. “This is an upscale community; the security should be strict.”

Ella, arms crossed, boasted, “Exactly, otherwise my p parents wouldn’t let me live here. People without status can’t get in.”
The two began to flatter Ella again, but she noticed Victoria walking towards them.
Ella quickly turned her head and locked eyes with Victoria. “Victor, what are you doing here?”
Victoria frowned slightly but didn’t stop walking.
Natalia quickly answered, “You must have eavesdropped on us coming to Lavender Fields Manor and followed us secretly.

Lila looked disgusted, “Ella didn’t invite you. What are you doing here?”
Victoria raised an eyebrow, “Did you buy out this community?”

Lila’s face flushed with anger. She couldn’t afford to live in Lavender Fields Manor, but she was sure Victoria couldn’t either!
Ella stepped forward, trying to smooth th
things over, “Victoria, that’s not what they meant. But what are you doing at Lavender Fields Manor? You can’t possibly live here too, can you?”
Victoria lifted her chin, “Why not?”
Natalia sneered, ‘So arrogant. Do you know how much the rent is her?”
“Who said I’m renting?”
Victoria replied, pulling out the access

Lila’s eyes widened as she pointed at the dark green card. “Impossible, you must have forged it!”
Ella was curious, “What? You live here too?
Natalia tried to snatch the card for a closer look, but Victoria quickly put it back in her bag.
“You don’t dare let us check it; it must be fake!”
Lita nodded in agreement, “Yeah, I heard people buy fake bags and luxury car keys online to show off. I didn’t expect you would even forge access cards for upscale communities just to pretend to be rich. Victoria, everyone knows you’re a false heiress. Stop pretending!”
Ella also believed the access card was fake, but she feigned innocence “Don’t say that. I believe Victoria wouldn’t forge anything. Even if it’s fake, she must have been deceived.”
Natalia added, “Ella, you always see the good in people. Victoria was kicked out of the Scott fantily; how could she afford to live in Lavender Fields Manor!”
Victoria didn t want to deal with them anymore and directly swiped her card to enter.
Seeing Victoria actually swipe the card and enter, Lila shouted angrily, “Why didn’t you stop her? Her card must be fake!”
The security guard looked at her with disdain, “Miss, a fake card wouldn’t open the gate.”
Ella was also surprised but felt embarrassed by Lila’s outburst and immediately stopped her, “Stop it. Who knows where Victoria got the card from.”
Natalia added, “Yeah, maybe she stole it!”
The three entered the gate, still speculating about where Victoria get the card from.
Ella even texted the apartment manager, saying she spotted handle it quickly.

Ella lived in building 7. As she was about to go upstairs, she saw the property manager, Lyanna Patel, approaching.
“Ms. Patel, why did you come personally? Ella thought she was there for her.
Lyanna smiled politely at her, “A distinguished guest has arrived. Ms Scott, is there anything I can help you with?
Ella and her friends started talking over each other, explaining their suspicion that Victoria had forged the access card.

Lyanna listened patiently but kept glancing outside. She saw Victoria walking over leisurely.
“Are you Ms. Hamilton?” she asked.
Victoria nodded.
Lila hurriedly stepped forward, pointing at her, “That’s her! The fraud we were talking about is her.”
Lyanna looked at Lila in shock and said solemnly, “Miss, Ms. Hamilton is a distinguished owner of Lavender Fields Manor.”
She then turned to Victoria and bowed deeply, “Im sorry, Ms. Hamilton. If you feel offended, I can ask them to leave.”
Victoria glanced at the three with a hint of disdain, “No need.”
She then went upstairs with Lyanna accompanying her. It was her first time here, so she took a slightly longer route and arrived later than Ella. She didn’t expect they had been living in the same building. What a coincidence.
Ella and her friends were left with very
ery embarrassed expressions.
Ella was in turmoil, How could it be? How could that bitch Victoria be an owner here? Was it Eric? Or Ethan? They are way too generous. Giving her a house in Lavender Fields Manor just to play around? They must be crazy!
