Chapter 39 Maximum Break
In the second game, Victoria was on fire, sinking one ball after another.
Gavin was sweating bullets, thinking, “No way, if this keeps up, I wont even get a turn; s
she’ll just win outright!”
Victoria was getting more and more into the zone. Playing in a match was way different from just messing around; the vibe was Intense, and she was in top form.
The game started off great, with only a few tricky shots. She nailed every angle and ended up with a Maximum Break, scoring a perfect 147 points in one frame!
The whole place went nuts, cheering and shouting
“Did I just see a Maximum Break?”
“This is just a college snooker club match, and we’re seeing pro–level play!”
“What’s her.name? Victoria, right? She’s my new idol–gorgeous and talented!”
Dennis walked up to Victoria, looking impressed. “You were amazing. He’s not even in your league.”
Victoria cleaned her cue lip, put it down casually, and gave a half–hearted nod,
Ella was soaking up the praise when she noticed everyone buzzing about the “Maximum Break” and calling Victoria a “Snooker genius.
She was fuming. How could this be? When did that bitch Victoria get so good at snooker?
Ella had hired a pro coach for two months and only looked decent. Victoria didn’t even have money for
money for a coach; how did she get so
11 was impossible! She must have cheated, maybe bribed the rel.
Where’d she get the money? Must be the military training bonus!
Ella tried to calm herself but then saw Dennis getting close to Victoria, making her eve
even angrier. She rushed over.
Victoria must be flirting with Dennis; no way he’d go to her on his own!
Ella fixed her bangs and called out sweetly, “Dennis, what are you doing here?”
Dennis wanted to keep talking to Victoria but got interrupted. He frowned slightly, “Yeah?”
Ella said, “Dennis, why didn’t you come watch me play? I’ve won two games in a row.
“Congrats,” Dennis replied coldly, “but who are you?”
Ella was mortified and furious.
“Dennis, it’s me, Ells. You helped me onto the supply vehicle during ditary training. I’ve been wanting to thank you…
No need, I have stuff to do.

With that, Dennis ignored Ella and turned back to talk to Victoria.
But she was already gone.
As soon as Ella approached, Victoria had packed up her things and left.
Mira was playing nearby, tied 1:1 with her opponent, needing one more game
le to witt.
Seeing Victoria’s cool demeanor, Dennis decided not to push it. He shook his head and left the pool hall. Being in the same Snooker club, there would be plenty of chances in the future.
One day, Victoria would see how awesome he was.
During the break, Mira saw Victoria and shouted happily, “Victoria, I heard you got a Maximum Break, that’s incredible!”
“When I asked you before, you were so modest. I was worried you wouldn’t beat Gavin, look the stage, Mira seized the moment to give Victoria a thumbs–up

Victoria smiled and signaled her to focus on the game. “How’s it going?”
Mira replied, “We’re tied, one game each. I thought winning the city championship was impressive, but even random opponents here are pretty good.”
However, Mira had a solid lead in this game, and her opponent was anywhere near pulling off a Clearance like Victoria, so she
wasn’t too stressed.
Soon enough, her opponent messed up, and it was Mira’s turn. She shot a smile at Victoria and gave a little cheer.
Victoria smiled back and gave her a fist pump.
Mira ended up winning the third gume by a Landslide.
Mira ran over, grinning, “Finally, we can join the club together. Am steady or what?”
She was a rock–solid player, rarely making mistakes. If her opponent slipped up, she’d go all in, often dragging the game out.
Both of them made it through the prelims and decided to chill in the audience before heading out.
Victoria was sipping water when a bunch of people gathered around, all eager to hear her tips.
She paused for a moment before saying, “You gotta calculate the angles and paths of the shots and get a feel for the weight of the

“How dare you do it but not let others talk? Everyone knows Victoris is a born thief, stealing Ella’s eighteen years of life, always stealing other people’s boyfriends. Shes a slut who’s been with many men!” Wendy’s voice got louder, echoing through the pool hall
Victoria remembered her past life, being humiliated by them. No matter how she tried to prove herself, they always found ways to attack and insult her.
Just then. Ethan walked in and kicked the door open, furious.
Wendy, who had been so cocky, was stunned.
“What did you say?” Ethan asked, his voice icy.
Under Ethan’s cold stare, Wendy felt a chill and started to tremble.
“…” she stammered, too scared to answer.
Nick followed closely, raising an eyebrow at her, “How dare you insult Victoria?”
Eric chimed in, “This is the Snooker club. Anyone causing trouble and insulting others, get out!

The Snooker club members, seeing Eric step in, quickly pulled Wendy away y and kicked her out.
Ella wanted to speak up for her, but Ethan’s glare sbut her up.
The Smith family was the biggest shareholder in the school, and no one dared to cross him. Ella didn’t even dare to try flirting with him, scared of his wrath. Ethan’s store was terrifying, nothing like Dennis’s gentle demeanor.
Lila, hiding behind Ella, tugged at her sleeve, signaling her to look at Wendy being kicked out.
Ella gently shook her head, indicating she couldn’t do anything.
