Chapter 28 Arriving First
Clios face brightened with linge, looking at Victoria with admiration. Can you really do it? I’ll follow your lead from now on
Victoria smiled and looked up at Clio, who was half a head taller than her, and asked, Clio, you can definitely navigate through the meuntains, right?
Clia glanced around carefully and nodded Tirmly.
Victoria continued, “Can you take the two of them and follow
follow this map for the first part of the route??
“Mission accepted,” Clio raised her hand and swore, “What about you?
Victoria said,
take a detour to grab the treasure and then meet up with you,”
Mica looked worriedl, “Victoria, can you handle it alone? Besides, taking a detour for the treasure is farther, should we wait for you?”
Victoria replied, “No need, I’ll be faster on my own. You guys move at full speed, and III meet you at the edge of the map. After that, 111, dead the way, which will save more tione.”
Clip nudded in agreement. “This is the fastest way, so we’ll definitely be first!”
Victoria could see Clin’s strong desire to win. Since she could be of help, Victoria whispered a few words to her.
Clio nodded repeatedly, “Got it, there won’t be any mistakes on this side!”
“Alright, let’s split up and move quickly. Victoria waved her hand and walked in a different direction from them. Mira shouted at her back, “Stay safe!”
Hurry up, we can’t slow down!” Clio said, pulling Daisy along as they jogged forward.
Mira shook her head helplessly and followed, jogging as well.
They didn’t stop to rest at all, even eating bread while on the move when they were hungry.
During this time, Daisy twisted her ankle once and looked
Clia pifully, “Can we rest for a bit? I
I really twisted my
ankle.”
But Clio would tear off the badge on Daisy’s chest and threaten her, you know, our competition is tracked by GPS. As long as I take your badge to the finish line, we can still win. As for you, rest as long as you want.”
After saying that, Clio didn’t even look at Daisy sitting on the grou and turned to leave.
Mira caught up and curiously asked, “How a did you know the GPS is the badge?”
Clu replied, “Mr. Palmer emplasized several times that we should wear the badge properly, oven a foul could guess the GPS is in
There!
In reality, before Victoris left, she had Instructed Clo to use the bad to threaton Daisy if she caused any more trouble.
Victoria had already guessed that Daisy’s previous behavior was delitely bribed by Ella, which was why the fore un would play tuleks later.
Chapter 28 Arriving First
Mira laughed at herself, wondering if she was a bit silly for not thinking of that
Daisy was afraid of being left alone in the mountains. Although she wasn’t sure if the GPS was in the badge, she had no choice but to get up quickly and catch up. “Wait for me, I’m scared!”
Although Ella promised her a reward of $100,000 if she could prevent Victoria’s team from placing, that was only if Victoria’s team didn’t find out!
For Daisy, it was certainly appealing to earn a reward without having to put in much effort!
But compared to the risk to her life, $100,000 didn’t seem worth it. Daisy endured the pain and obediently followed along.
After Victoria split from the group, she moved swiftly through the forest, dodging obstacles like a pro, and quickly made her way to Treasure Point 3.
From a di
a distance, she spotted the yellow flag fluttering in the wind and sprinted over to grab it. “Got it!”
This flag with the number 3 on it was the stand–in for the treasure set up by the instructor.
She
glanced around and saw no signs of anyone else. It seemed she had outpaced the main group. The teams had spread out, each with different targets in mind.
Victoria stashed the flag in her backpack. Even if she ran into others they wouldn’t know she had already snagged the treasure.
She checked her watch; only an hour had passed, and she still had plenty of time.
But she didn’t stop. She took a quick sip of water and headed towards the meeting point.
This plan required Victoria to be super fast. She had to detour for the treasure and then reach the one–third point before Clio and the others. Without the map, they could get lost and end up in trouble.
Luckily, Victoria had experience as a stunt double in her previous life, and t back to peak.
two weeks of training had brought her physical fitness
Combined with her familiarity with Sunrise Peak, Victoria reached the designated meeting point in just twenty minutes.
As the bent over to catch her breath, she saw Mira waving at her from a distance. “Victoria! You got here faster than ust
Mira led the way, speeding up and running towards her with a look at surprise.
Victoria smiled with relief. Thankfully, they didn’t let her down. The rules required that one person reaching the finish line alone was invalid.
In her previous life, Victoria had actually proposed the strategy of taking Treasure 3. Unfortunately, everyone misunderstood her, and no one listened. The team leader at that time was a boy who was decent but wanted to grab Treasure 1. Subsequently, they ended up running empty handed several times and didn’t secure any placement.

Fortunately, Clio could accurately navigate in the forest. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have dared to split up, saving at least ten
Clio looked at Victoria expectantly, “Did you get 117”
Victoria patted her backpark and vald, “It’s Imide, Let’s not waste thi looking at it now. Let’s
Chapter 28 Arriving First
Clio nodded with a smile and didn’t say more, just silently calculating in her mind.
Ethan’s previous record was four hours and ten minutes. Now, an hour and twenty minutes had passed, and they had covered one third of the distance. At this pace, they would reach the finish line in under four hours!
Their team would definitely break the record, especially with Victor’s ability to navigate without a map, allowing them to split up!
The four of them moved forward with high spirits, encountering no further surprises.
When they reached the finish line, the instructors were chatting
“Didn’t Ex
Ethan say he wasn’t coming? Why did he suddenly agree to do the mobilization?”
“Who knows, Ethan is very aloof and often refuses requests from their dean.”
“Maybe he was in the mood. These rich kids do things based on their interests.”
“Look, birds are flying out of the forest over there. Could it be that some students have already arrived?”
