Chapter 51
“Theo, that’s enough.” Gregory’s voice was devoid of emotion, Yet, there was no room for negotiation.
Upon hearing it, everyone turned to look at him, surprise flickering across their faces. Gregory had never cared about anyone else’s well–being. However, he’d just intervened to stop this.
Theo froze for a moment, feeling complicated. He’d never expected Gregory to ultimately help Anathea. In the past, Gregory had never once hidden his contempt for Anathea. Theo still couldn’t believe that Gregory would step in.
Anathea was somewhat surprised when she heard Gregory’s words. However, she still didn’t put down the wine glass.
As long as she finished this last glass, she would receive three million dollars, which was enough to cover Fiona’s medical expenses. Thus, after just a brief pause, Anathea tightened her grip on the glass and raised her head.
But in the next moment, a tall and imposing figure stepped in front of her. A strong hand grasped her wrist and snatched the glass away from her.
The escorts watched Gregory cautiously.
At this moment, Gregory was visibly upset. His gaze was so sharp and chilling that it seemed as if he wanted to tear Anathea apart. “Did you not hear what I said?”
He’d asked her to stop drinking. Yet Anathea refused to give up and reached out for the glass again. She had to drink it. Otherwise, she feared Theo might go back on his word.
Gregory slammed the glass down on the table. Before Anathea could react, he grabbed her wrist and strode toward the door.
“Let me go! I’m not leaving!” The alcohol affected Anathea strongly. She suddenly sat down on the floor, throwing a tantrum without caring about how she looked.
Gregory frowned and warned, “Get up.”
“No way!” Anathea protested stubbornly.
The next second, Gregory simply bent down and hoisted her onto his shoulder.
“Gregory Sinclair! Let me go!” Anathea’s eyes widened as she pounded on his back. However, no matter how much she struggled, she couldn’t shake him in the slightest.
Instead, he delivered a sharp slap to her backside, his tone displeased. “Behave.”
Anathea instantly fell silent.
With long strides, Gregory walked off without a second glance, leaving the stunned onlookers in the private room staring at each other in shock.
“What just happened? Did I see that right?”
“Gregory just took Ms. Jacobson away like that?”

Moreover, Anathea had even dared to call Gregory by his full name. Judging by Gregory’s reaction, the two of them clearly knew
each other.
“They…”
Adrian turned to Theo and asked, “What exactly is their relationship?”
For a moment, all eyes shifted toward Theo.
Theo gulped, at a loss for words. His thoughts were just as scrambled as theirs. He’d even noticed a flicker of unexpected worry in Gregory’s gaze when he’d looked at Anathea.
‘Say something, Theo!”
“Yeah, hurry up.”
“I don’t know! Stop asking me!”
“I don’t know! Stop asking me!” Theo snapped, flinging his hand in frustration.
The glass of liquor on the table crashed to the floor, shattering into pieces. The scorpion inside, long since intoxicated by the high–proof alcohol, lay motionless, rendering it unable to sting anyone ever again.
Anathea was slung over Gregory’s shoulder, the hard pressure against her stomach making her feel nauseous. She quickly patted his shoulder. “Gregory, put me down…”
Gregory was a little impatient, but the moment he heard her faint voice whisper that she was about to throw up, he immediately set her down.
Anathea ran to the restroom, dry heaving in agony, yet nothing came out. She braced herself against the sink, gasping for air.
Gregory stood behind her, his gaze falling on her frail back. Beneath the thin fabric of her clothes, her bones were more pronounced than he remembered. She’d shed a significant amount of weight recently.
His brows furrowed slightly. Without a word, he retrieved his phone and called the driver to come pick them up. Then, he grabbed her wrist. “Let’s go home.”
