His friends echoed her concern. “Where’s the bride? You haven’t even changed into your suit yet?”
Seeing Jane’s absence, panic surged. He’d told her to come directly to the wedding venue that morning. Where was she? Had she
gone to the banquet hall?
He forced a smile. “Jane’s probably at the banquet hall, overseeing things.”
He started towards the banquet hall, then remembered he didn’t know which banquet hall the wedding was in. Jane hadn’t told him, and he hadn’t asked. His friends wouldn’t know either; that’s why they were waiting in the lobby.
He stopped a staff member. “I’d like to know which banquet hall Ms. Sinclair booked.”
The staff member checked the registry. “Miss Sinclair booked Hall 3.”

Relief washed over Dominic. He’d overreacted; Jane must have been busy. He’d buy her a gift on their honeymoon, to thank her for her efforts.
Then, the staff member noticed a note at the bottom of the entry and spoke again. “But Miss Sinclair called two weeks ago to cancel the reservation. She said the wedding was off.”
The words hit everyone like a hammer blow. Dominic’s mind went blank. The wedding was off?
