Jake probably never imagined I would walk away with Zane without any hesitation. As I passed him, I did not even spare him a
glance.
Feeling defeated, Jake slumped into the mess of the room while surrounded by empty bottles.
In a half–asleep state, he thought he saw Lily. She was dressed in a pure white dress and dancing under the moonlight.
Jake squinted. He vaguely remembered it was from their first year together.
She had danced for him on his birthday.
As the memories flooded back, Jake fumbled for a cigarette and lit it.
He convinced himself that Lily would not really leave him.
