After landing, the driver took us straight to Eden Residence
Nathaniel explained, “Our home is ready for us to move in. I’ve already had your things moved over.”
I nodded and said, “Okay.”
The house was decorated entirely to my taste. Every room I opened was thoughtfully designed, a clear sign of how much care Nathaniel had put into building this home for us.
My heart warmed at the thought. Over these past few months, I witnessed his dedication firsthand. Initially, I only wanted to have a child with him, but now, I thought perhaps I could have both–a child and love.
Just then, my phone buzzed. Surprisingly, it was a message from Blair.
It read, “Rowena, college has started, but I haven’t paid my tuition yet. You know my family situation… Could you help me again? I’ll pay you back in the future.”
I would have almost forgotten about her if it had not been for her sudden message. Although I had deleted Shawn’s contact, I still heard news about him through Tara as one of his friends was pursuing her.

Shawn had covered Blair’s living expenses for all this time. He was quite generous, giving her 5,000 dollars monthly without really knowing the typical student expenses. Six months in, Blair had taken nearly 30,000 from him, yet now, she could not even afford tuition.
There was no way I was going to give her anything. I replied, “I believe I’ve made myself clear. I won’t be supporting you anymore. Your life is no longer my concern so please don’t contact me again.”
