Dennis…”
Her voice faltered, trembling with anger as she spat out his name. Her gaze bore into me, filled with venom. “You think you’ve
truly won?”
Her shouting frightened the children, who huddled closer to me, their wide eyes filled with fear.
I shielded them further, my tone calm but firm. “Camille, if you’re here to cause trouble, I suggest you stop. You’re scaring the
children.”
“Cause trouble?” She let out a harsh laugh, then jabbed her finger at me, her voice rising in fury. “You fake your death, frame me,
and play the victim. Aren’t you disgusted with yourself?”
“All I did was take back what was mine,” I replied, meeting her gaze steadily. “If you’ve made mistakes, then you need to face the
consequences.”
Her expression twisted further, her composure shattering. “It’s all your fault! If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t be in this.
mess!”
