Chapter 7
“Get out!” Zachary roared, pointing at Sienna with unconstrained rage.
Sienna grabbed his hand, tears brimming in her eyes. “I’m sorry, Zachary. I didn’t mean it. Please forgive me just this once!”
Unfortunately for her, her pitiful act no longer stirred any sympathy in him. He just looked at her cold. “I’ll say it again–get
out!”
Sienna froze for a moment before suddenly bursting into laughter. “No! I won’t leave! I won’t! Zachary Harrow, you will never get rid of me!”
Everyone was stunned by her sudden outburst.
Andrew was the first to come back to his senses. “Take her to the police station.”
Sienna struggled wildly. “Let me go! Let me go! Zachary Harrow, Evie is gone! Why won’t you accept me? She left you!”
No one responded. Sienna’s frantic screams echoed throughout the house before they eventually faded out.
In the silence, Julia looked at Zachary and sighed deeply before leaving.
“I hope you find Evie soon,” Andrew said before leaving as well.
Zachary was left alone. He looked around, and his tears began falling uncontrollably.
He wondered if I felt as sad as he did when I was alone at home in the past.
Did I feel as lonely? Did I hate him during all those nights I spent alone?
He took out the ring. Through his tears, it glistened bright–a sharp contrast to his grief.
He remembered what I said before.
“If I said I wasn’t okay, would you stay?”
He realized that I had already prepared to leave that day.
If he had stayed, just for that one time, I wouldn’t have left.
At the police station, Sienna threw a tantrum, demanding to see Zachary,
