Chapter 6
Sienna was locked in a room. She secretly called Zachary and asked him to come back quickly. “Zach, where are you? I’m scared. Can you come back and stay with me?”
Zachary rubbed his temples, feeling exhausted. “I’ll be back soon.”
His parents were still at the house when he returned, their expressions dark and heavy.
Seeing him, Julia quickly asked after me, “Did you find Evie?”
Zachary shook his head.
Julia was worried. “What should we do? She’s pregnant. What if something happens to her? Could she have gone to the hospital?”
Zachary did not dare to tell them about my miscarriage. He was worried that Julia would take it badly. “I checked the hospital. She wasn’t there. Don’t worry, Mom. I’ll find her. Where’s Sienna?”
Hearing that, Julia got even more angry. “How can you care about her right now? You should be more worried about your wife!”
Andrew, who had been silent all this while, ordered his men to take Sienna away.
She screamed and cried as she was brought out, even pretending to faint, but Julia wasn’t buying it.
“Throw her out to the wild. We’ll see what happens if she faints!”
Terrified, Sienna immediately stopped acting and cried out, “Zach, save me!”
Seeing this, Zachary couldn’t help but feel sorry for her. “This wasn’t Sienna’s fault, Mom. Let her go.”
Sienna chimed in as well, “Yeah, it wasn’t my fault! Evie’s miscarriage had nothing to do with me. I didn’t do anything!”
“What?” Julia leaped to her feet. “Say that again!”
“Sienna Lawson!” Zachary snapped, his voice filled with anger.
Sienna did not know what she had done wrong. “I… I didn’t mean that,” she stammered..
“Did you just say that Evie had a miscarriage?” Julia could not believe her ears. She glared at Sienna, livid. “Did you do it?”
Sienna shook her head fervently. “No, I didn’t. It wasn’t me.”
“Preposterous!” Andrew smashed the cup he was holding onto the floor. “Then, what happened? Why did Evie leave suddenly?”
Zachary finally remembered that I was there to collect the bracelet earlier that day, but all I had done was slap Sienna and leave without it.
He looked over at Sienna. “What exactly did you say to Evie?”
