Chapter 4
Since my family had paid for the entire wedding banquet, the security guards didn’t hesitate to follow my orders.
Lilian, Isabelle, and the swarm of their relatives were all thrown out in disgrace.
Mom and Dad were grinning from ear to ear.

That evening, after returning home, I casually scrolled through my phone and unexpectedly came across a post from Vivienne’s
social feed.
“A gift from a friend! Isn’t this ring beautiful?”
The attached photo showed two hands–one male, one female–both wearing a pair of wedding rings.
That was our wedding rings,
Though their faces weren’t shown, I recognized Julian instantly.
The comments were overflowing with praise, congratulating them as if they were a perfect match.
“The ring is gorgeous! It’s so elegant and sophisticated! Only such a beautiful piece could match Vivi’s breathtaking looks!”
“If I’m not mistaken, this is a wedding ring, right? It looks expensive. Vivi is so lucky to have such a wonderful husband.”
I thought for a moment, then decided to drop my own comment–with receipts.
“This diamond ring is a custom–made, one–of–a–kind design, and the inner band is engraved with my name. Taking something without asking is theft. I’ve saved screenshots. See you at the police station.”
With that, I exited the app with satisfaction.
It didn’t take long before my phone rang. It was Julian.
I answered, only to be met with his furious shouting.
“Clara Whitmore, are you insane? Vivi was just curious about the ring and tried it on for a moment! And you’re calling her a thief? Threatening her with the police?
“Do you know how badly you scared her? She was so happy wearing that ring, but now, she’s crying and insisting on taking it off
and giving it back!”
I rubbed my ear, thankful I had the foresight to keep my volume low.
