Chapter 28
The following day, despite what has happened the night before, Gadreel woke up to an empty bedside.
The pillow, the sheet, the whole mattress were empty and cold, suggesting that the occupant. had left quite a while ago.
Gadreel found that this outcome immediately soured his mood. He frowned, but made no effort whatsoever to get up from the bed and chase after her.
Rather, his mind replayed what had happened the previous mind. All the details were fresh, enticing and almost unbelievable. But amongst them all, one key detail stuck to the front of Gadreel’s mind, and that detail being the fact that Ivory had been a Virgin.
He had seen her bleed yesterday and felt the tightness that only a Virgin was said to give. And despite knowing this, he has been a bit rough and…impulsive, I dear say.
Massaging his temple, he sighed. Perhaps he needed to…apologize for those two things.
He glanced at the side of the bed again and finally stood up. Silently, he looked around, wondering where she was. Suddenly, something on the lap beside him caught his attention.
It was a sticky note.
Reaching for it, he picked it and his eyes scanned through the written words.
‘I kept to my side of the deal, so keep to yours. Meet me at the Justice Hall by 10. And Ps. Your bed skills suck hard- Ivory.”
Gadreel stared at the sticky note for a few seconds before crumpling it and throwing it away, feeling an nerve of irritation, rise that very moment.
The nerve on that woman, he thought as he walked towards his closest and began dressing up.
How dare she say his bed skills sucked?
As he dressed up, a thought crossed his mind. Perhaps Ivory wasn’t exaggerating and his skills in bed, didn’t live up to what he had always assumed.
After all, this was the first time he had been intimate with a woman, seeing as his family’s tradition didn’t support premarital sex.
Gadreel frowned.
Was he really bad?
Shaking his head, he dismissed the thought. He couldn’t dwell on it, at least, not now. He had more important things to deal with.
Shortly after leaving the family mansion, Gadred arrived at the Hall of Justice.
When he walked into their case room, he spotted Ivory immediately. Dressed in a milk colored turtle neck and black pants, a contrast to the outfit other people were wearing, she stood out like a sour thumb.
But could she really be blamed? He knew the reason why she dresses like that. As a matter of fact, he was the reason why she was dressed like that.
Although previously enraged by the message she had left, Gadreel couldn’t help but wonder if he had gone a bit too far.
Leaving those marks on her and being so rough perhaps he indeed went overboard. But deep down, Gadreel found he didn’t regret it.
Yesterday, Ivory has tasted intoxicating. The feeling of her body pressed against his, the feeling of her lips, the feeling of being buried deep inside her, it was so-
Before his thoughts could stray any further, Ivory spoke up, voice cold and dry.
“Are you going to keep staring, or are you going to sign?” Her gaze only lasted for a few seconds before she looked away.
Gadreel blinked, silent for a few seconds, caught off guard by the air of indifference she was giving him.
He felt a vein appear on his temple, but calmed down as he picked up the pen down at the papers.
He frowned and suddenly, he didn’t feel like signing those papers.

“You are aware, that according to the prenup of our engagement, if you demand a divorce, you’ll have to pay a fine of 5 million pounds,” Looking up at her, he added. “Can you really afford that.”
It wasn’t a question, but rather, a fact pointer, after all, to the best of Gadreel’s knowledge, Ivory has only been a housewife through the past five years.
There was no way she could amass such an amount.
Ivory, after hearing what he had to say, frowned.
Prenup agreement? Since when did he care about that? And five million pounds was a small amount for Gadreel, so why was he suddenly caring about it?
Her frown deepened. What was he playing at?
Gnawing at the inside of her mouth, Ivory thought hard and long for answer and before long, it came, like a light bulb in the dark and she understood.
This was simply Gadreel getting back at her for the note she had left, right?
She chuckled lightly. So even Gadreel cares about his sexual abilities. Unfortunately, for her that is, that note was a total lie and his bed skills, in fact did not suck, but Ivory wasn’t going to admit that, at least not verbally, but her body has already admitted and surrendered the night before and that annoyed her.
It was also part of the reason why she had written than note.
But Gadreel knew not of that and if this was the cheap road he wanted to take to punish her for
the note, then so be it. Unfortunately for him, he wouldn’t win this round.
“Is that your last condition for ending this marriage?” She asked. “If I can pay it, this marriage would officially be annulled?”
“If you can pay it, Yea.” Gadreel confidently answered.
Nodding her head, Ivory reached into her coat and pulled out her phone. The very next second, Gadreel’s phone beeped with a message.
When he glanced at it, he couldn’t stop his eyes from widening in surprise.
5 million pounds has just been sent to his bank account from Ivory.
Gadreel frowned the moment he saw this.
How was she capable of having this amount?
“Let’s ne anymore time,” Shoving her phone into her pocket, Ivory picked up her r
and did not hesitate to sign. Then she turned to Gadreel and urged. “Sign them, now.”
