Chapter 19
Evangeline gritted her teeth as she glared at the bottle in her hand.
A nullifier?
Why would Gadreel seek out something like this? Did he from the beginning, have no plan of getting intimate with her?
Was it because of Ivory? Or did he not love her anymore?
No, those two options were impossible. Gadreel had proved earlier, when he abandoned Ivory despite her being drugged and came to her, and even fought off the guy that got hand–sy with her, that he still loved her.
So, what was it? Was his member no longer functioning? Had his ability to perform in bed been affected by his years of being in a vegetative state?
All this thinking, coupled with the effect of he aphrodisiac that was starting to fully take effect, caused Evangeline’s head to spin.
She stumbled a bit and Gadreel caught her.
“Don’t be stubborn,” He took the bottle and undid the cap, placing it back in her hand with a stern look. “Drink the nullifier at once.
His words left no room for defiance and although Evangeline wanted to go against those words and do everything in her power to get intimate with Gadreel tonight, she knew being stubborn now, would only serve to create more trouble and hinder her future plans.
After all, Gadreel never took fancy to a girl who’s stubborn and disobedient.
Thus, with a heavy heart, she downed the nullifier.
Immediately after, she began to feel the effects of the aphrodisiac wear off.
Sighing, she walked over to the couch and sat down. She closed her eyes and ran a hand through her hair, before turning her gaze towards Gadreel.
He walked over and used the tad of his thumb to wipe the bottom of her lip, getting rid of the remnant of the nullifier that had spilled.
“Good girl.” He said. “Now rest here while I have Jennifer prepare something for you to eat.”
Walking away, he called out. “Ezekiel,”
The assistant who had been standing by the entrance up until now, quickly rushed to match his boss’s pace, following him towards the study.
“Yes Boss?”
“Go and check the situation in the Ivory Hotel.” Sadreel found himself restless, remembering the two strong men leaving with the ivory.
“Will they have sex?” Thinking of this, Gadriel immediately crushed the wine bottle in his hand, and Ivan was scared and hugged his head. “Lier… Have I upset you again?”
Gadriel stared at her, trying to determine whether his assessment of her tusks was accurate. Was she truly illiterate? Was she as scheming as her mother?
“Ivan…”
Ivan saw Gadriel’s serious expression and felt his heart tremble. Although he was always tolerant of her, when he showed such an expression, she knew that someone would be punished.
“Yes?” Ivan swallowed and said.
“Are you sure you haven’t completely hidden anything from me?” Gadriel’s hand was on Ivan’s neck, as if she would snap her neck if she dared to say yes.
“Of course!” Ivan trusted that her mother’s plan was foolproof. Her eyes regained their confidence. She bit Gadriel’s finger and told him, “The only thing I’m hiding is my heart
disease.”
“Very good.” Gadriel pushed her away. He needed to confirm the divorce procedures, and he didn’t need to confirm anything else. Ivory was undoubtedly a promiscuous woman.
Ivory stared at the fish tank in front of her. She was in a daze, trying to process what has happened with Gadreel, despite being back at Emma’s place.
She was completely surprised that Camilla had actually found two men for her. If it hadn’t been for Lucien arriving again, she would have ended up having a threesome with the hunks.
She touched the painful place on her lips, and Gadriel actually bit her. She found that she didn’t reject it, and she hated that her
And her inner thigh…
Biting her lower lip, Ivory squeezed her leg close,
“Here,”
A small bottle of nullifier was shoved into her hand, breaking her train of thoughts. Blinking, she took it and examined the drug.
“It’s a nullifier.” Came the answer to the question bubbling on her face.
She nodded and finished it at once.
E
It was a special grade nullifier, a cure all, created by her master, and because of that, the effects of the drug quickly began to wear off.
Leaning back against the chair, she flashed a smile of gratitude at the individual standing in
front of her.
“Thank you…Lucy.
Lucien could only but sigh and shake his head. “Can’t you ever be careful?” He scolded, yet his voice held no hint of anger, rather only concern for her well–being.
Ivory appreciated this and the smile on her lips became more genuine. “I apologize for making you worry, Lucy and thank you, again.”
She fell silent after that, not even uttering a single word about what had just happened. But Lucien could see from the way she stared dark daggers at the fish tank, that she was upset with
what had happened, she just choose to keep it in.
But he was different from her. He was upset about what happened, and he wasn’t going to
hesitate to show it.
Taking a seat beside Ivory, he gently took her hand in his. Ivory arched a brow at the action but made no effort to reject or refuse it.
“y,” He began, cautiously, almost as if he was treading on thin ice. “Who are. I need you to give me names.”
Ivory frowned. “Name?”
he answer to her question came part verbally, part physically. Stretching out his hand, Lucien gently stroked the top of her head.
“I need the names of those who were involved in this, Ivory. They hurt you, so they have to pay. You understand, don’t you?”
“I…I do, but Lucien,” Ivory paused and scanned his face. She had already troubled him enough.
Did she really have to trouble him any further? Couldn’t she take care of her own shit?
“There’s no need for you to trouble yourself. I… have this one under control. I have a plan of mine in mind.” She lied, partially.
The stroking of her head stopped and Lucien silently stared at her for a few seconds. “I see,” He began, allowing his hand to drop from the top of her head, to the nape of her neck, where he gently massaged for a few seconds before withdrawing.
“I understand.” He flashed her a smile, one that indicated that he heeds and words and Ivory happily flashed one of hers back
respects her
“Feeling better?” He asked and she nodded her head. “Alright then,” Standing her up from

the couch, he lead her towards her bed. “Gets some rest.
But even after saying this, he didn’t leave.
“Aren’t you going to-”
“I’ll leave once I see that you’re rest.” He explained. “The nullifier needs you to rest in other for it to work and I know you, the moment I walk out that door, you’re going to bury yourself in company files. So I’ll only leave after you’ve slept.”
Ivory wanted argue with that notion of his, but the moment her head hit the pillow, she felt exhausted, tired and sleepy, all at once and instead, opted for a simple.
“Whatever floats your boat,” she yawned, “But you better not watch me sleep…for…too long
And just like that, she muttered a few more incoherent words before falling asleep. Lucien, watching this, smiled as her body visibly relaxed and the sound of her soft breathing filled the
room.
The smile however, only lasted a little while, because the moment he was sure Ivory had drifted off to sleep. He pulled out his phone and dialed a number.
A few seconds later, line was answered and Lucien only said a few words.
“Peter Mendez, find him, and deal with him.‘
After that, he hung up the phone and stood up. Walking towards Ivory’s bed, he gently adjusted the hair out of her face and smiled once again.
“Don’t worry,” He said. ““I will kill any man who touches you.“”
