Chapter 11
After Elliot and Nathan were discharged from the hospital, Lucas spontaneously organized a celebration for them.
I continued to take care of Elliot even though he had fully recovered.
Lucas was rather proud. “Looks like I’ll have someone calling me ‘brother–in–law‘ from now on.”
His words earned him a roll of the eyes from Elliot, and Lucas immediately fell silent.
In the garden, Elliot and Nathan sat facing each other. Out of curiosity, I hid behind the door to eavesdrop on their conversation.
“Elliot, I didn’t expect you to have such intentions so early. That night, why did you use Bianca’s phone to call me?” Nathan
asked.
Elliot smiled slightly. “Didn’t you want to pursue her? I gave you a chance, and in doing so, gave myself a chance too. But it’s a pity that you were too useless.”
Nathan’s face showed a hint of regret, but he quickly masked it. “Because of that phone call, I completely lost Sienna.”
“No.” Elliot looked at him, his eyes bottomless. “From the moment you made her your secret girlfriend, you had already
completely lost her.”
My heart raced. So, Elliot knew everything.
“She’s always been hiding in the corner since she was little. I still regret it a bit now. I shouldn’t have let you stop and wait for her
back then.”
A trace of confusion flashed in Nathan’s eyes, and then he quickly turned his head. “Back then…”
Elliot didn’t say anything more, but his silence spoke volumes.
As I stared at his back, my heart was struck with an earth–shattering realization. It turned out that he had noticed me many years ago, even before Nathan did.
