After saying that, Elliot didn’t linger. He quickly walked to the car, settled me in the back seat, and looked me over from head to
toe.
“Is there anywhere you’re uncomfortable? Did you inhale too much water?”
I shook my head. “Just a little bit, I’m fine. No need for the hospital.”
However, he stubbornly insisted, “No, you have to go.”
With that, he immediately started the car, ran through several red lights, and took me to the hospital.
After the examination, everything seemed fine, but the doctor said that because the lake water had been a bit cold, I was likely to
catch a cold.
Elliot listened attentively and bought me a lot of cold medicine.

“I went to find Bianca. Dad wants to set up a blind date for her.”
