I shouted in panic.
Eric froze and stared at the knife in his hand in disbelief.
Lila lay on the ground, laughing through her tears. “Gina, I’m not stupid enough to ruin my life just to hurt you.”
Her laughter grew wilder, her expression almost manic. “You two have all the money and power, yet you let one woman play you
like fools!”
I looked at Lila helplessly. It was never her plan to hurt me–she just wanted to use me as bait to draw them out.
“You two idiots! Gina never lost her memory!” she shouted.
Eric was immediately stunned.
