“See. I told you she was faking it.” A snarky voice rang out, accompanied by the click–clack of high heels hitting the ground. The
next second, in came Rosalie.
I was finally relieved that she was alive. I had finally changed my fate.
As soon as Rosalie appeared, Theodore stopped looking at me and immediately turned into a gentle and kind man who held her
hand. His loving look made it seem as though he were holding a priceless collection. “Why did you come here? You’re more than a
month pregnant. You should be resting.”
Rosalie twisted her neck, looked at me sarcastically, and provoked, “Oh, you didn’t think we were going to cancel our trip for you, did you? I’m pregnant, and I live next door.”
Theodore said, “Don’t hurt our baby because of someone unrelated. Let me help you back to your ward.”
