Yes, Luke just didn’t love me enough.

Not long after, the funeral home staff arrived to take Monica’s body away. I carefully instructed them on all the details for the funeral day.

Because on the day of Monica’s funeral, I will have already left the Wildfire Pack.

Watching the car carrying Monica’s body drive away, I bowed deeply, solemnly bidding farewell to the mother who had raised me.

My wolf, Shadow, whispered in my mind, “Emma, it’s time. Time to live for yourself.”

Afterward, I drove to the most luxurious photography studio in our city, the Moonlight Gallery, to cancel the bonding photoshoot I had booked and get my deposit back.

The apprentice checked my information and apologized, “I’m sorry, Miss Emma. I’m afraid your deposit can’t be refunded because… your bonding photos with Alpha have already been taken.”

At my request, the apprentice pulled up the images stored in the Moonstone Crystal. I scrolled through them one by one.

In the crystal, Alina wore the elegant ceremonial gown symbolizing the status of a Luna, posing alongside Luke in a series of pictures. Both of them had bright, joyful smiles on their faces.

Luke’s wolf, Fang, was even in the background, standing protectively behind them as if Alina were his true master.

As I was about to finish looking through the photos, the studio owner rushed over, flustered.
