Shadows In Durango
Chapter 68-1
Sofia’s POV
Chasing behind Daryl like a crazed lunatic bursting in through his door only to find that
he strides his way towards Vincent’s room at record pace wasting no time before
isn’t even
there…
Phew!
the one who decided to go with him, it’s ok!” I bargain, as Daryl all but
“Will you please just stop for a moment and calm down? I’m shakes his head and rushes by me – heading back out of the room.
“Daryl please just quit it! Why are you acting like this?” I try again,
the stairs next.
My
feet
rying quickly to keep up with him as he heads for
“You just don’t get it!” He snaps back at me over his shoulder, shocking before now…
me
with his tone since he had never been so harsh with me
Watching my feet to ensure that I don’t trip up with how quick we were moving, we reach the ground floor and I practically jump out of my skin the moment he begins to yell out loudly-
“VINCENT?!” He roars into the empty space, moving swiftly to the window by the front door to check for his car.
Seeming satisfied that he was still home, he heads towards the living area next as I again chase behind him.
Empty again…
For everyone’s sake I hope Vincent is out a walk somewhere or something! This was becoming ridiculous!
“Daryl stop this! You’re completely overreacting here!” I begin to grow flustered, knowing that he wasn’t prepared to settle until he
finds him.
“VINCENT?!” He bellows loudly again, as I chew my lip and begin to sweat profusely.
What’s gotten into him?! It wasn’t this big of a deal!
Reaching the kitchen, I still at the door when finding Vincent seated on the island stool as he takes a sip from a coffee and raises a questioning brow at us.
“You done screaming around my house yet?” He drawls out in mockery, being a complete ass when he knows Daryl is evidently already wound up.
He’s only adding fuel to the fire and for what?!
“You’re a fucking prick man!” Daryl sneers, rounding towards him as Vincent slowly places the mug down on the counter before he stands to match him.
Without hesitation, Daryl grabs him by his shirt – pushing him by the shoulders backwards and into the other countertop as a jolt of horror pushes through me.
“Daryl stop it!” I yell, horrified at how violent he had quickly become over the fact that Vincent was taking me with him on the trip
the worst part being that I had willingly agreed to it.
What was he so pissed off about?!

Chapter 68-1
“Yeah Daryl, why don’t you stop it before I need to fucking kill you h?” Vincent’s words are cold and calm, as my lips part at how controlled he was in comparison to Daryl who was furious.
“Why the hell would you even want to take her with you for something like that?! On a fucking trip that your own father organised? All for a couple of nights away to fuck? Is that it? You selfish bastard!” Daryl begins to yell out of control, as my adrenaline shoots up at the sight of them.
I couldn’t move any closer out of feat, and I didn’t dare to step between them like this… but I had to do something?!
“Did she come crying to you about it?” Vincent’s eyes dart towards me accusingly, as my own eyes widen in shock of being directly
involved.
“N–No! I was only telling him that I would be g–gone for a few days I defend myself, evidently flustered as Vincent nods once and settles back on Daryl who still maintained a vice grip of him.

Chapter 68-2
“You better let me go before I start to get pissed off.” Vincent warns him, as Daryl all but shoves him hard once before letting him go and stepping back.
I breathe out in relief that they were now separated, but the moment is short lived as Daryl swings a punch at Vincent catching him on the check in one clean movement.
“DARYL STOP IT! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!” I scream loudly, before in a quick flash Vincent tackles him across the kitchen and gets on top of him pummelling a couple of heavy punches of his own into Daryl’s face.
I rush towards them, my body going into autopilot as I tug at Vincent’s arm but he doesn’t budge. Dary! gets loose ever so slightly. managing to elbow Vincent on the jaw which buys him some time to get on to his feet – before sending a kick into his side which causes Vincent to grunt once before standing.
My head snaps back and forth between them, both breathing heavily and yelling incoherent curse words as the fight continues – Vincent rushing him once again and beginning to pound punch after punch into his body and face relentlessly like a caged animal let loose.
They are going to kill each other if I don’t stop this!
Horrified, I rush towards them again, not thinking straight and deciding to just get right in the middle of them both which I quickly regretted…
One punch to the back of my head from Daryl and one knee to the stomach from Vincent has me quickly doubled over and screaming hysterically before everything falls quiet.
My eyes instantly blur, filling with tears as I contemplate between which injury was worse – my pounding head or my bruising ribs.
Hearing them speak but unable to focus on what they were saying, I all but sob before feeling two sets of hands on me – lifting me and moving me somewhere else.
“1… j–just stop fighting! P–Please!” I continue to cry out loudly, the tears continuing to stream down my face like a cracked water
pipe.
All I can hear is hushing and murmurs between them, as I reach up to wipe my face which does little when more water quickly comes flowing again after.
“S–Sick…” Is all I manage to get out, before I curl forward and spew everywhere – leaving a burning taste in my throat which causes for me to cry even harder than before.
I hated being sick with a passion and I couldn’t even prepare myself for this!
“I’m so s–sorry!” I whine loudly, before clutching my stomach the second I cough which causes more pain to erupt in my abdomen.
This was horrendous, and I had only taken two hits from them both despite that they had both been fully blown fighting – why was I in a worse shape?!
“Shhh it’s ok, it’s going to be ok! We are fucking dickheads!” I tune in to hear Daryl’s voice as I place him to be the one rubbing circles on my back.
“Move her upstairs so we can get her cleaned up, I’ve called somebody to deal with the sick.” I hear Vincent coming back in to the room next, his tone almost unrecognisable as he quivers through his words.
groan loudly when feeling them both lift me once more, as I blink a few times to make sense of what was happening – coming out of the shock that they had both, in fact, just hit me at full force.

But I guess it was my own fault for deciding to step between them. I’ve lost my damn mind!
