They did not even stand up for me nor even consider the fact that there were reporters present. What would become of me in the
eyes of the public once this ridiculous wedding was streamed?

My eyes brimmed with tears. The thought of how hard I had worked to get into the Sinclair brothers‘ good books made me cry. I could no longer hold back as I choked back a sob and called out to my parents.

The spotlight shone on them while I stood on stage like a clown abandoned by the world.
No one cared about me. No one bothered about me. No one sympathized with me.
The Sinclair brothers held Nancy’s arms and gently wiped away her tears. All three of them turned to look at me standing in the
middle of the stage.

“Get down from the stage. We won’t let you get away with it if you delay Nancy’s wedding.”
“You’re a pretty shameless person, so you’re probably not easily embarrassed over these kinds of things, but this is Nancy’s big
day. You should know what’s good for you.”
I took a deep breath but did not budge.
“Ryan and Luke Sinclair, Nancy Edwards, if you want to get married, you can go to another location. This is my wedding. You
have no right to ask me to step aside.”
They were taken aback but later laughed so hard they had to hold their bellies. It was like they had heard the greatest joke in the
world.
“Have you gone crazy from wanting to climb up the social ladder so bad, Paige?”
“Our parents might’ve signed a contract for this wedding and you’re obligated to marry into the Sinclairs, but we aren’t planning
to marry you. Do you think anyone in Rayon City would dare go against the Sinclairs when you’re bound by a wedding
agreement?”
“Have a look, everyone. This is the woman who can’t wait to marry us to gain fame and fortune. Isn’t she a joke?”
Their words were sarcastic and filled with contempt. Everyone below the stage laughed as tears fell down my cheek.
“I’ve always heard everyone say how kind and generous Paige Edwards was. I can’t believe that she’s such a scheming person in
private, even going as far as to steal her sister’s credit for saving the Sinclair brothers.”
“Her parents aren’t saying anything about it. The Sinclair brothers must be telling the truth. Tsk, tsk. What a horrible woman Paige Edwards is.”
