The whispers got louder below the stage.
Ryan and Luke were holding Nancy’s arm on each side. All three of them were smiling cruelly.
“There’s a marriage agreement between our families. Who else could you marry but us?”
“We’re informing the whole world that you took credit when it was Nancy who saved us. You lied to us for five years. You lied to get this wedding!”
“This wedding should be Nancy’s. We want you to give her this wedding to compensate her.”
The wedding march played while they were shouting all of this.
They turned to Nancy at the same time. Her eyes turned red, but she refused to march forward.
“Thank you for treating me so well, but my parents are here. I’m afraid…”
Her eyelashes fluttered like a bunny in fright. She looked pitiful.
The Sinclair brothers immediately turned to my parents.
“Mr. and Mrs. Edwards, although this marriage was arranged long ago, we never specified that the bride had to be Paige.”
“Nancy is your daughter too. If you’d like to continue working with the Sinclairs, why not give this wedding to Nancy instead?”
My parents glanced at me and Nancy several times before sighing.
“Get down from the stage, Paige.”
“Let your sister complete the wedding. ”
My heart broke when I heard their emotionless voices. They were my biological parents who were attending my wedding.
However, they did not hesitate to give my wedding to Nancy over a few simple words.
