Since Wales had been directly responsible for the negative impact on the corporation, most of his assets were used to compensate for the damages he caused. The only asset he had left was the house he was staying in.
After Wales failed to fulfill her request of buying a branded handbag despite her asking him more than three times, Anna no longer behaved like the sweet and gentle “bunny” that Wales was used to.
She knocked away Wales‘ hands that were reaching for her and sneered. “You still dare to say you love me when you can’t even
buy me anything?”
Anna exited the house then and didn’t return for three days.
The encounter made Wales remember me again. In the past, despite knowing how wealthy he was, I was unwilling to ask Wales to buy a branded handbag for me. In my eyes, having breakfast with him was more valuable compared to any branded handbag.

On the fourth day, Wales once again spent the whole day with me at the cemetery. When he returned home, he realized that there
were other people in the house. Anna’s familiar moaning floated through the crack of the door.
Peeping through the crack, Wales saw Anna wearing that familiar bunny suit while she straddled another man. On the bed behind
her sat the three handbags that Wales had failed to buy for her.
The man had a cigar hanging between his lips as he enjoyed Anna’s service. His rough hands roamed her body as he asked, “Who’s better? Wales or me?”
“Of course, it’s you, Mr. Smith,” Anna replied coyly.
Wales‘ eyes widened. The man was Barry Smith, his sworn business rival. Why was Anna with him?
“Wales might not be as amazing as you, but he’s a lucky man. I never expected that stupid woman, Joey, to push him out of harm’s way when I did as you ordered me to and arranged for a driver to crash into him. If it wasn’t for her, you would have already acquired Price Corporation.
“Now that he has forced his beloved to take her own life and lost his livelihood, there’s no way that he can compare to you.”
Wales clenched his hands into tight fists, his eyes burning with barely controlled rage.
He had assumed that the car crash was just an accident. He never expected it to be a devious plan that was orchestrated by Barry and Anna. To think he had been spoiling Anna for so many years… He even forced me into a corner that ultimately led to me
taking my own life for Anna’s sake.
Wales could not forgive himself for his foolishness. He thought of taking his own life to accompany me in death. But before he did
that, he would make Barry and Anna pay for what they had done.
He went to the basement and grabbed a handgun. He dashed back to the bedroom after that and fired the gun on them before they realized what was happening.
He walked forward and stared at Anna as she twitched on the ground. He said, “Remember to apologize to Joey once you’re on the
other side.”
Wales waited for Anna’s body to turn cold before he left the bedroom. He made his way over to the room I used to stay in.
Wales had filled the room with tulips. It was the tulips‘ blooming season, which created a spectacular sight as the flowers all bloomed in unison. Wales sat among the flowers and pulled out the phone I had left him.
He never allowed my number to be deregistered, so it was still active. He had sent countless messages to my number as if I were still alive. He would send one every day despite knowing that he would never receive a reply.
This would be the last message that Wales sent me.
“My darling Joey, please allow me to call you darling one last time. I owe you an apology. If there is an afterlife, I hope you’re living happily and joyously. As you wished, I hope we’ll never meet again.”
Wales sent the message after he was done typing it. When he saw the screen of my phone light up, he aimed the gun at himself
and pulled the trigger.
“Don’t leave me alone, Joey. I’m coming to see you.”
