Chapter 69
Back when Stellar was around, this had never happened..
“Percy…”
Chris hesitated for a moment before speaking, his tone casual yet deliberate. “It’s been a while since we’ve seen Stellar, hasn’t it? Is she still mad at you?”
For the first time, he dared to mention Stellar when she wasn’t around.
The moment Percy heard her name, his expression turned thunderous.
With a sharp motion, he slammed his glass onto the table, his voice laced with fury.
“I told you don’t ever mention that woman in front of me again! And-”
His bloodshot eyes swept across the room, locking onto each of his so–called friends.
un for!
“From this day on, she and I are enemies. Anyone who dares speak up for her is going against me!”
A heavy silence fell over the room.
Chris frowned.
He heard that Percy’s recent arrest had something to do with Stellar, and while he didn’t understand why she would do such a thing, openly declaring her an enemy seemed extreme.
The woman had no background and real connections.
If Percy truly turned against her, wouldn’t she be crushed?
Still, it wasn’t his place to argue.
No matter how far she ran, a woman like her had no chance of surviving without Percy’s protection.
Sooner or later, she would come crawling back.
“Alright, Percy, don’t waste your energy getting worked up over a woman. Let’s just drink,” Chris said, raising his glass.
Percy’s expression finally eased a little.
He lifted his glass and downed it in one go.
But as the night wore on, Chris began to regret it.
By the third round, Percy was completely wasted.
Drunk out of his mind, he clung to Chris, shaking him wildly as he mumbled, “Stellar Stellar..”

“Percy, get a grip!”
Chris’s face turned pale as he struggled to pry the drunken man off him.
The other men stepped in to help, but even after prymg Percy off, he lunged right back, grabbing onto them and wildly shaking everyone in his drunken stupor
His energy was erratic, his behavior reddess.:
“Stellar…” he slurred, still lost in his drunken haze
“Percy, snap out of it! Stellar isn’t here!”
But none of them could restrain him. They didn’t dare hurt him, either.
Chris, caught in the middle of the chaos, looked like he had been through a war–his collar was pulled loose, his hair a complete
mess, as if he had been tossed around like a ragdoll.
When he finally managed to escape the center of the madness, he was utterly drained.
He thought back and realized Percy always became like this when he was drunk
But back then, Stellar had always been there to handle it.
None of them ever had to step in.
How the hell did she deal with him all those times?
Chris had reached his limit.
With no other option, he grabbed Percy’s phone, hesitated for a moment, then scrolled through his contacts until he found
Yvonne’s number
After a brief pause, he pressed dial.
The call connected quickly.
“Percy?
Ever since their deal with Riverfront Corporation fell through, Percy had snapped at her in frustration
Yvonne, not one to take insults lightly, refused to meet with him ever since.
And now, he was calling her?
Had he finally realized he owed her an apology?
Chris cleared his throat “Miss Harlow, it’s Chris Carter Percy’s completely wasted at the New Moon Lounge. You should come
pick him up.”
His tone was casual, as if it were the most
st natural thing in the world,
After all, as Percy’s fiancée, wasn’t it her responsibility to take care of him?
On the other end of the line, Yvonne’s expression darkened instantly.
She wanted to snap, “Why should 17”
Only when he was drunk did he think of calling her?
Her finger hovered over the end call button, ready to hang up, but then she hesitated.
The current project still depended on him, and she couldn’t afford to burn that bridge just yet.
Gritting her teeth, she forced herself to swallow her frustration.
“Send me the address.”
“Will do,” Chris replied, relief washing over him.
Finally, he could hand off this ticking time bomb.
An hour later, Yvonne arrived–fashionably late, as always,
