He always treated her with respect, never mocking or belittling her like the rest.
So, when she caught him staring, she remained calm and greeted him politely.
To her surprise, he blocked her path, hesitating as if he had something to say.
She frowned slightly. “Do you need something?”
“You really broke up with Percy?” Xavier asked.

He studied her face for a long moment, then finally spoke again.
“Percy’s planning to sue you. He says he’s going to drag your name through the mud.”
Stellar didn’t even flinch.
“Let him.”
Her voice was indifferent, completely unfazed.
She had long since seen him for who he truly was.
A man like that wasn’t worth her time or emotions anymore.
Xavier held her gaze for a moment, then cautiously added, “If you want, I can help you justice,”
That caught her off guard.
No matter what, he was still part of Percy’s circle

Xavier had no idea how long they had been there, but judging from Percy’s dark expression, he saw him talking to Stellar.

Chris stepped forward curiously. “What were you two talking about?”

“What’s with the attitude?”
Chris‘ mood soured instantly at his silence.
This guy always had the same deadpan expression.
He was just a broke nobody acting all high and mighty.
“I heard you even refused to help Percy sue that woman,” Chris sneered, folding his arms as he looked down at him. “Is that
true?”
Xavier didn’t hesitate. “Yes.
Chris let out a mocking laugh
“Look at you, acting like you’ve got a backbone now. Don’t forget, it was Percy who gave you a chance when you had nothing
“Without him, you wouldn’t be where you are today. And now that you’ve made a name for yourself, you think you can just turni
your back on him?”
His words dripped with disdain, painting Percy as some kind of benefactor.
But the truth was, Xavier had built his career as a top lawyer through his own hard work.
