When I arrived at the Sullivans estate, the housekeeper looked like panic.[]
I cut straight to the point “Where’s Fabian?“]
The housekeeper stammered“Mr. Sullivans isn’t home…He’s just-
I narrowed my eyes. “In a few months, you will listen my order.“[]
“Fabian is the CEO in the company. But everything under this roof? That’s my domain.“[]
“You’ve seen how Fabian worships the ground I walk on. If I wanted to fire you, you’d be packing your bags before dinner.“]
“Do I need to spell it out further?”
He finally registered that I wasn’t fucking around.[]
“He took Miss Sophia back to Lakewood Psychiatric Center,” he admitted.]
That creeping sense of dread returned full force.[]
Channeling my father’s boardroom intimidation tactics, I tilted my chin up and locked eyes with him“What else are you hiding from me?”
“And don’t even think about bullshitting me.“]

Got every information from the housekeeper, I sped toward Lakewood.]
Maybe it was just my imagination running wild, but the exclusive hospital perched on the hillside looked straight out of a horror movie in the moonlight.[]
Fighting the chill running down my spine, I marched directly to Sophia’s private suite.
Hers was the only room on the entire floor–impossible to miss.
I faced a ridiculous series of security doors, each requiring different access codes.
Without the housekeeper’s information, I’d have been completely locked out.[]
With each keypad I cleared, my stomach twisted tighter.]
When I finally reached her room.[]
Through the slightly ajar door, I saw her–the woman from earlier.[]
The tattered white dress had been replaced, and she was now wearing only a loose white men’s shirt. As she turned to the side, her two sensual breasts swayed with each movement.
Her eyes gazed up at Fabian with drugged adoration.[]
Fabian’s face remained coldly detached, the rapid movement of his Adam’s apple betrayed his emotions.[]
His hand rested on the back of her head, guiding her downward with gentle pressure.[]
