Thea’s POV
“Are you okay, baby?” I asked Leo, watching him push food around plate aimlessly.
Sebastian usually joined us for dinner, but tonight was different. He was locked away in his study, dealing with some important shit about forming an alliance with two smaller Packs from the west. According to him, this alliance would significantly expand Ashworth Pack’s sphere of influence and cement our dominant position in North American werewolf society. The new allies meant not just more resources, but greater freedom of movement and additional hunting grounds for Pack members.
“It’s nothing, Mom, just thinking about how to deal with Piper,” Leo humbled, absently poking at his food.
The issue was clearly bothering him. I had no fucking clue how to help unless the girl crossed a line, but my gut told me she wouldn’t. I also wanted Leo to learn independence rather than always relying on me or his father to solve his problems.
“Have you come up with anything so far?” I asked, pushing away my empty plate.
“No,” he sighed in frustration. “I guess I’ll just have to avoid her as much as possible. I wish she’d miraculously get transferred to another class.
“I could ask the principal to move you to a different class,” I suggested.
this was genuinely bothering him so much, it was the least I could do. I wanted Leo to focus on his studies, not spend most of his time dodging a girl who seemed determined to stick to him like glue,
I smiled inwardly. I couldn’t really blame the girl. Ashworth men had a particular allure about them. Sebastian had completely captivated me when I was younger. I guessed the same thing was happening to Piper.
“No!” he almost shouted the word with fierce determination. “I don’t want to leave my friends. Especially now that Wyatt is in my class too, I don’t want to be separated from him.”
I nodded understandingly. “Alright.”
When I heard Wyatt’s name, my heart twitched. Given how tense things were between Jaxon and Sebastian, it was pretty fucking ironic that the Goddess had made their sons so important to each other.
A moment later, Mary appeared to clear the table. I tried to help, but the stubborn woman refused.
“I’m going to bed,” Leo informed me.
“Okay, sweetheart… I’ll check on your sister and be there in a bit.”
He yawned, nodded, and headed upstairs. After confirming everything was good and Mary didn’t need help, I went upstairs too.
I checked on Phoenix and found her fast asleep. I’d just fed her before dinner, and she’d immediately passed out afterward. I quietly
left her room and went to Leo’s.
“Leo?” I called, but got no response.
He was already asleep, lying completely on top of his covers. I guessed Piper’s attention hadn’t just angered him but exhausted him too. A
I slowly walked into his room and helped him get under the covers. After tucking him in, I placed a gentle kiss on his forehead, made sure he was comfortable, and left his room.

The house was eerily quiet now. As Mary finished her work and left for her quarters, I decided to take a shower. The Aurora issue was still swirling around in my head. I still couldn’t decide what the fuck to do about it.
I thought the shower would clear my head, but it was futile. After showering, I was still just as confused as when Roman had asked for my help.
I put on my nightgown and then my robe, Since Sebastian still hadn‘ emerged, I decided to check if he was close to finishing.
“I’m leaving, Luna,” Mary informed me as I passed the kitchen. Despite my many requests to call me Thea, she still habitually used my title.
“Has Sebastian eaten?” I asked.
“Not yet; Alpha said he’d eat when he was done and not to worry about it.”
I nodded. “Alright, good night.”
“Good night to you too.”
After she left, I prepared a plate for Sebastian. Who knew how long before he’d finish his work? He couldn’t work on an empty stomach. Once ready, I carried the plate to his study.

The door was open, but I knocked anyway.
He looked up from the documents he’d been reviewing. Though he looked tired, probably from lack of sleep, he was still fucking
sexy.
You know you don’t need to knock, Thea,” he said, leaning back in s chair.
I wanted to remind him it hadn’t always been that way, but I held my tongue. In the past, he wouldn’t even let me near his study, especially when he was in it.
“I brought you dinner,” I said, trying to push the past away.
I crossed the room and placed the food in front of him. I was about to walk around the desk to sit in one of the chairs, but he stopped me.
He grabbed my hand and pulled me toward him, settling me on his lap. I didn’t mind at all.
“Mmm, I missed you… I can’t wait for this work to be over so I can spend more time with you,” he murmured, his voice pulling me
into a seductive web.
Involuntarily, I shifted slightly on his lap, drawing a low groan from him. His arms tightened around my waist, his nose trailed along my neck, making me shiver all over.
“You smell so fucking good.”
“Probably just my body wash,” I mumbled.
Damn, I really needed to have sex. I wanted it so badly, but I didn’t know how to approach him or how to initiate. It had always been him starting our sexual encounters before. I’d tried once, but he turned me down. I never tried again after that. I always waited
for him to make the first move, so I was still waiting now.
“You need to eat, Sebastian,” I broke the spell.
It would be so easy to take advantage of his tired state. I’d just straddle him, unzip his pants, move my panties aside. Given how wet I was, he’d slide into me easily, and we’d both get what we wanted.
But I couldn’t do that. What he was working on right now was really important. I couldn’t fuck that up for sex. Maybe when his mind wasn’t so occupied, I’d try to seduce him, but not now.
He sighed but didn’t say anything. After a moment, he started eating I tried to get up, but he refused to let me go.
“Can I ask you for a favor?” I asked after a while.
He nodded.
“Can you let Aurora go?” I quietly pleaded.
It was the right thing to do. I couldn’t teach Leo about hate while harboring it myself. It wasn’t doing me any good. I didn’t want to hold on to grudges. I had Sebastian. My focus now was on building my marriage with him.
The utensils fell from his hand. “Absolutely not.”
“Please? What she did was wrong, but I don’t want to hold onto bitterness and anger. I believe in karma. I’m doing this for myself,

“But she hurt you,” he sighed, refusing to let go of the issue.
“Yes, and according to Roman, she’s been paying for that mistake for two weeks now. She’s probably learned her lesson.”
He was stubborn; I could see the reluctance in his eyes. He was fighting against the truth in my words.
“Please?” I sweetly begged, gently cupping his cheeks.
His eyes focused on mine, and when they did, they softened. Love tok over everything.
I watched this fierce Alpha melt before me. It was an amazing sight, and I cherished every second of seeing it.
“Fine,” he agreed. “But on one condition.”
“What condition?” I asked curiously.
He grinned mischievously, making me want to kiss him.
