I floated toward Cheryl, but she couldn’t see me and passed right through me. She marched up to Hansel
Cheryl was five feet three inches tall. She was petite, and as she stood before Hansel, who towered over her, she looked like a rabbit that he could easily squash. However, she glared at him fearlessly.

She was my only female friend. She knew that I was dating Hansel and everything about our relationship.
On that day, after I left the yacht, I had called her and told her everything that had happened. She consoled me and said that she would come to pick me up.
However, several minutes later, those thugs found me. I should’ve called her for help. However, feeling indignant, I had called Hansel instead, which cost me my life.
“For me?” Hansel peered at her condescendingly. “Perhaps you’re talking about what she had done for those men she had affairs with?”
Cheryl was stunned. She questioned, “What affairs? Hansel, are you referring to her job at the nightclub? You should know that she was only working there so she could earn enough to buy you the medication you needed. But, alas, you were only pretending to be poor and deceived her.
“Besides, even if she had been working at the nightclub, her job was only to promote the sale of liquor. She wasn’t even intimate with anyone. Even if someone had groped her, my cousin is the manager there. He’d always been looking out for her to make sure no one could take advantage of her.
“Elara had always loved you and only you. She was devoted to you and worked as hard as she could to save enough for your medication. In the end, not only had you tricked her, but you also wrongly accused her of doing something she didn’t do. Hansel, don’t you feel guilty-”
“Where was she on the night of the 28th of last month?” Hansel coldly interrupted her.

I had wanted to come clean to Hansel, but Cheryl advised me against it. At that time, we didn’t know his true identity and had thought that he didn’t know about me working at the nightclub.
