ARIA’S POV

The situation quickly turns into a source of embarrassment. At a business party of all places, Adam chooses to pull such a stunt? Gasps echo throughout the hall as the unexpected display of intimacy unfolds, leaving everyone in attendance stunned and
uneasy. The air thickens with palpable tension, and I can feel the weight of judgemental eyes upon us.
In a whirlwind of emotions, I abruptly break away from the kiss and storm off the dance floor, seething with fury. My anger
intensifies as I spot Eva and Sophia among the onlookers, their presence adding to my humiliation.
It’s a great reminder of Adam’s penchant for including them in every aspect of his life, even at professional events. The
e sight of
them only fuels my frustration further, serving as a bitter reminder of Adam’s actions and the tangled web of emotions
surrounding us.
Eva comes at me angrily like I have committed a very grave mistake.
“You bloody bitch! How dare you seduce my brother?”
As expected, Eva wastes no time in pointing the finger at me, attributing blame and stirring up more drama wherever she goes. Her tendency to create scenes and exacerbate tensions only adds to the chaos of the situation.
“Anyone who’s not blind could see that your brother kissed me!”
Eva brushes off my statement, continuing to hurl insults and questioning my presence with a sense of entitlement, as if she owned the place wherever she went. Her relentless barrage of verbal attacks adds fuel to the fire, further escalating the tension and exacerbating the already volatile situation.
“I’m here for business, unlike your idiot brother.”
I roll my eyes at her to show how frustrated I am. Just as we speak of the Devil, he appears right then and he overhears his sister
hurling insults at me.
“First it was my uncle at the restaurant and now Adam? Why always the Miller?!”
Ah, I had thought that she had not seen me with Regis last time, but she did and now she is using it against me. I wonder whom
was she waiting for.
“Eva! How d
“Eva! How dare you speak to Aria like this!”
Despite our separation and divorce, Adam has been consistently supportive, standing by my side at every opportunity. Isn’t it too
late now?
“What are you and Sophia doing here by the way? You’re not invited.”
It’s disheartening to see them sneaking into events to enjoy themselves and pretend to be VIPs. Their behavior comes across as cheap and insincere, tarnishing the professionalism of the occasion and undermining the efforts of those who are genuinely

there to network and conduct business.
I feel amused at the sight of Adam scolding his sister.
“Look who decides to turn up again.”
I am quite sarcastic and both vamps understand that I am not behind their dear Adam.
“Why were you dancing with her?! How dare you kiss her while you’re divorced?”
Sophia chips in furiously demanding explanation from the dear lover to which Adam replies.
“It’s none of your damn business!”
Seeing Adam in this state is completely unexpected. He has always seemed to be under the influence of his mother, sister, and Sophia, almost as if he is dominated by them. I’ve always assumed that Adam’s deep love for Sophia stemmed from his unwavering support for her at every opportunity.
This sudden shift in behavior is both surprising and puzzling, leaving me questioning the dynamics of their relationship.
Sophia’s reaction to Adam’s words is alarming. Gripping her stomach in agony, she begins to writhe in pain, nearly collapsing to the ground. It’s evident that Adam’s words have deeply affected her, causing her physical distress.
The sudden onset of her stomachache adds a layer of intensity to the already tense atmosphere, leaving everyone around her
concerned and unsettled.
“M–my baby…”
Sophia’s struggle to breathe is concerning, and I can’t help but worry about the seriousness of her condition. However, given Sophia’s history of pulling such stunts, particularly when she needs to distract Adam and garner his sympathy, it’s difficult to
discern the true nature of her distress.
Despite my concern, there’s a nagging suspicion in the back of my mind that her symptoms may be exaggerated for dramatic
effect.
Adam is pissed, but he has to rush Sophia to the hospital. Of course, he is doing it for his child–the child he so much desired; not from me, but from his mistress.
As I watch Eva, Adam, and Sophia leave, with Sophia being carried in Adam’s arms, I can’t help but chuckle to myself. However, my ainusement fades when I notice Suzanne in the corner of the room. What is she doing here? It appears that she has witnessed all the drama unfold, and I can’t help but wonder what her reaction will be.
