Chapter 35
Amelia was stunned for a moment by Sierra’s words. “What is an open relationship?”
To put it bluntly, although Vince and I are married, I don’t interfere with him keeping mistresses as long as he comes home, Sierra explained.
Sierra appeared so generous, which was like a slap in Amelia’s face because Sierra’s words suggested she was a mistress.
Before she could come back to her senses, Sierra continued, “I don’t mind, in fact. Vince has many women like you around him. You are not the first, and you won’t be the last.
“Mrs. Hartwell, I know you are a sentimental person, and Vince is a very good man. He has always been very generous to hili mistresses.
“Now that you have feelings for each other, don’t hide it anymore. You don’t have to care about what others think; also pay no attention to me. won’t interfere in your affairs, nor will I put pressure on you.”
Sierra was getting more and more ridiculous, and Amelia didn’t want to hear another word.
She hurriedly stopped Sierra, “You’ve got it all wrong. There’s nothing between Vince and me, and there never will be
After saying this, she left in a huff
Every word Sierra just said was like a knife, stabbing her heart
A homewrecker rumed her marriage, resulting in an irreparable tragedy.
How could she possibly become the homewrecker in someone else’s marriage?
Being Vince’s mistress? It was such a humiliating title. She would never be anyone’s mistress.
He was handsome and rich, and she did have a slight crush on him, but she’d never stoop so low.
She thought about everything that happened recently. Vince had been reaching out to her and taking care of her.
Was what Sierra said true? He had ulterior motives, and being nice to women was his usual trick!
She couldn’t figure it out; nor could she think about it rationally
The more she dwelled on it, the more disheartened she felt.
After all, she had just suffered a huge blow in her marriage. How could she easily trust others!
In the private room, all the dishes had been served.
Vince in his seat was a little anxious, and he kept looking towards the door.
He glanced at his watch and finally couldn’t sit still any longer.
“Where’s Amelia Why hasn’t she come back yet!” He took out his phone, wanting to make a call
But Sierra stopped him and said softly, “Oh, that’s right, Vince, I forgot to tell you. Amelia said that she had to go back. Her husband is looking for
her.
“Her husband!” Vince repeated.
Sierra smiled, “Yeah. Did you forget! Theo is still her husband. Although they’ve already filed for divorce, they are now going through paper works, which means they’re still legally a couple. Amelia is still a married woman.”
Each of her words was meaningful, reminding him that Amelia was not completely divorced,
It would be immoral to have any feelings for Amelia.
As long as he was a righteous man, he should not make such a mistake.
But Vince didn’t fall into her trap and quickly reacted. “Sierra, did you say something to Amelia?”
Sierra replied, “What do you mean? 1 thanked her that’s all. Of course, I’ve got to thank her properly
“Did you say anything else you shouldn’t have? Vince was skeptical

“No. I swear, she replied.
Vince’s face darkened, and he got up from his seat and went out
Miles wanted to stop him but failed.
Sierra bit her fork, unable to recover for a long time, overwhelmed by mixed emotions.
For the first time in so many years, Vince lost his temper with her and wouldn’t even listen to her explanation
Although he didn’t say anything harsh, the strong sense of loss was already brewing deep down inside her.
A few minutes passed, and her eyes were filled with jealousy

After leaving the restaurant. Amelia took a taxi straight back to the hospital.
The weather in early December was wet and cold, and the recent cold snap had sent temperatures plummeting more than fifty degrees
Fahrenheit.
She was only wearing a thin sweater today, and she was shivering from the cold.
She hurried all the way, and as soon as she arrived at the hospital entrance, someone called out to her, “Amelia”
Turning around, she saw Ryder standing in the crowd.
Today, he was wearing a white shirt and black trousers, and the slightly ill–fitting suit jacket gave him a touch of melancholy,
He was handsome, with a clean and refined look that was pleasant to the eye.
He had her bag in his hand. “You left in such a hurry last night that you forgot your bag”
Thank you You could have just let me know, and I’d come to get it myself,” she said.
“It’s fine. I want to visit Mrs. Ellington anyway, he smiled.
Only then did she notice that he was carrying fruit and supplements in his other hand.
Although she didn’t have a good impression of the Hartwells, overall Ryder wasn’t so bad.
She led the way as they walked to the inpatient department, both tacitly silent.
After entering the elevator, he suddenly said, “Do you remember? We went to the same school,”
She smiled awkwardly. “We went to the same school? I’m sorry, I don’t remember much of it
“But I’m always pretty invisible, and others hardly y notice me. You probably only found och we were schoolmates after I married Theo, right?”
“No. I knew you long before that,” he replied while looking ahead, his expression more serious than she had ever seen.
