Chapter 55-1
Daryl’s POV
Turning when I hear the front door open, 1 lind a tear stained Sofia Bollowed by an anxious looking Emma.
What the fuck has Vincent done in them this time?!
“Sofia?” I question, as she peers up at me through her soaked lashes before choking on a sob.
“Emma what’s happening? Reid follows me towards them, as she opens and closes her mouth to find an answer for him.
“What’s happening? What’s happening is that I found these two grinding on some guys down at that new western bar! Guys thought they were getting fucking lucky tonight to put it lightly! We all tam to find Vincent entering through the front door behind them, his temper evidently in full swing as 1 take in his bloodied knuckles and disheveled appearance.
It was clear that he had dealt with whatever guys he was on about… but I couldn’t lie that the news of what they had been up to tonight did hurt my feelings slightly.
But taking another glance at Sofia’s frightened face, I sigh and shake my head.
*Vin just quit it. They are both shaken up about it clearly. We can discuss it tomorrow.” I tell him, my tone warning as he raises a
brow
“Always playing the knight in shining armour aren’t you Dary1?!” He scoffs, before taking off in a quick stride towards the staircase heading up to his room for the night.
I was sort of glad he took himself away, knowing that if he wanted to, he could have stayed and made this night much worse for
everybody,
“We should probably talk about this. Reid motions towards the kitchen with Emma, who looks as guilty as they come as she trudges her feet slowly behind him giving Sofias shoulder a squeeze on passing.
Sofia wiped her wet cheeks, sniffling and seeming to grow frustrated
“We were only dancing and having fun!” She groans out, and I can tell from the tone of her voice that there was alcohol involved in the mix.
Vincent was right about one thing, they shouldn’t be out at bars underage drinking by themselves. The cops could’ve showed up or some older sleazy guys could have taken advantage of them.

“Let’s go to my room.” I breathe out, holding out my hand for her to take which she thankfully
It seemed that Vincent had already given her a pretty hard time about whatever happened and therefore she didn’t need to hear the same thing from me…
I’ll say my piece about it in a way that won’t make her more terrified or upset.
We reach my bedroom, as I kick open the door with my foot and then turn on the light, leading her to sit on the bed as she sinks down on to it with slumped shoulders.
She reaches up to remove her pink cowboy hat, tossing it down on to the floor at her feet with a huff of frustration to how her night
had ended.
“What happened?” I try, sitting beside her and attempting to keep my tone softer.

The one Vincent had took, knowing
I showed that I was pissed off about her dancing with
another guy it wouldn’t lead us anywhere.
“We were just having fun and mut of nonchere Vincent showed up
attacked the guy I was with… I just don’t get it,
not my boyfriend so what right does he have to do that? Plus is he allowing me around now like a stalker? How did he in the first place? What’s his deal?!” She complains, as I chuckle at her rants.
She has a point there, Vincent was so used to just claiming what different. She wasn’t used to Vincent and his ways and that’s what
who he wanted with a snap of his fingers but Sofia wan ked about her.

“You’re right, but once Vincent likes you that’s that. This is how he shake my head and explain, watching her roll her eyes.
“But he’s so confusing! One minute he acts all interested and the new hea just rude and all stand offish with met Sure, he really helped me out with a job and with my whole neighbour situation, b that doesht mean he gets to boss ine around whenever he feels like it. The last I checked, I was single and had the right to dance with other guys! Sofia deadpans, which sends a jolt of jealousy through me..
I wouldn’t admit it to her, but I could understand how Vincent felt er seeing her with somebody else… the thought of it alone made my muscles tense.
One thing was for certain, she had us both unler her spell.

surprise.
“That doesn’t give him the right to drag me out of a place, call me a whore and a tart and make me cry! At least you don’t do that to me.” Sofia attempts to laugh at what happened, using the back of her hand to wipe her mascara stained face.

I knew he could be a fully blown asshole whenever he had a tantrum but that was fucking uncalled for.
“Yeah, he even said I dyed my hair porn star blonde! For somebody who apparently likes me, he’s pretty nasty to me at the best of times!” Sofia scoffs, slightly irritated now by how he had acted.
Ill need to talk to him about this because he’s crossed the line.
