The Line Crossed (Part 1)
Sebastian’s POV
Rage coursed through my body like nothing I’d ever felt before. This went way fucking deeper than ordinary anger. It was like a volcanic eruption flowing through my veins, ready to explode at any second.
I practically threw myself into the driver’s seat, my movements lacking any semblance of grace or restraint. The engine roared in protest at my rough handling, but I slammed my foot on the accelerator, and the car shot out of the hospital parking lot like a bullet.
Only one thought consumed my mind right now–Aurora had hurt Ta. I couldn’t understand why she couldn’t accept that things between us were over. I’d literally told her to her face that I didn’t want to be with her anymore.
Her history with me had bought her some leniency, making me willing to tolerate certain behaviors. But hurting Thea? That was a line she should never have crossed.
My phone rang in my pocket, but I had zero fucking intention of answering it. Nothing could distract me from my current objective.
I drove like a madman, probably breaking every traffic law in existence. But I didn’t give a shit. Even if I got pulled over, I’d sort it out in seconds. In this goddamn city, my word was law.
When I finally reached the Sterling Pack House, I parked the car and strode toward the massive front door.
I pounded on it violently, not caring what this display might communicate. My rage hadn’t cooled–if anything, it had become more intense.
Every single thing Aurora had done to Thea since her return played through my mind–the nasty comments, the lies designed to get Thea in trouble, the abuse and threats. All of it flooded my thoughts, turning my vision blood–red.
I was about to pound again when the door was yanked open. Roman stood there looking annoyed. Good, he could join the fucking anger club.
“What the hell, Sebastian?” he asked, staring at me like he was trying to figure out what I was doing. “You’re banging on the door like you’re trying to tear it down.”
I didn’t answer, just pushed past him and walked inside. I glanced around, searching for Aurora.
Did she really think she could hurt Thea and then hide here? If so, she was fucking delusional.
“What’s up, Seb, why are you here?” he said, “Not that I’m not happy to see you.”
“Where is that fucking bitch?” I demanded instead.
My hands clenched into fists as I started involuntarily releasing my Alpha presence into the space.
“Who the fuck are you talking about?”
He clearly had no idea what was going on. If Aurora was here, she’d probably run straight to her room.
“Aurora,” my wolf and I growled in unison, “that’s who I’m talking about.”
Roman stared at me in shock, his expression gradually hardening. I could feel his wolf responding to my aura, instinctively wanting to answer the challenge. But he quickly suppressed the urge.

“I’m not going to let you come into our home and refer to my sister that way,” his voice was low but firm. “Even if you don’t love her anymore, you should maintain some basic respect.”
I laughed, a cold, humorless sound that sent chills down even my own spine.
“Respect?” I said icily, ‘I’ll consider that suggestion when she shows respect to my Luna. Now, get that bitch down here or I’ll find her myself.”
“This is my territory, Sebastian. If you don’t calm down, I’ll have you removed. Roman threatened, but I saw the hesitation in his
eyes.
I stepped forward until we were inches apart.
“Try it,” my voice was dangerous and quiet.
He glared at me for a moment but ultimately took a step back. Though he was my best friend, he couldn’t take me in a fight. I could subdue him in a few moves. He knew it from our training sessions together.
“Sebastian, what are you doing here?” Aurora’s cheerful voice came from behind me.
I heard her running down the stairs. I tried to calm myself, but it was impossible.
I turned to face her, and she must have seen something in my expression because she suddenly froze in place. Like lightning had struck her, keeping her rooted to the spot.
“Are you okay?” she stammered..
I strode toward her, reaching the staircase in what felt like a single step. Before she could react, I had a firm grip on her chin.
“What do you think, Aurora?” I said through gritted teeth.

Sebastian’s POV
“Sebastian, calm down,” Roman warned nervously, but he kept his distance, not risking intervention.
My gaze never left Aurora as I searched her expression for the truth
*I don’t understand. What’s going on, Sebastian?” Aurora asked, all hocent and pitiful.
“What’s going on?” I finally exploded, shouting at her pretend–innocent face. “Thea was rushed to the ER minutes after you walked out of that bathroom, that’s what’s fucking going on!”
Roman gasped softly, murmuring “What?” but I ignored him. My fury was directed solely at Aurora. Unless he decided to step in.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about. I only called the Kincaid Alpha and Luna because she collapsed in the bathroom.” She tried to stay composed, but I could hear the tremor in her voice.
“Is that so?
“Yes. She went down, and it didn’t feel right to leave her there, so I called her parents over. I was helping.”
Clever lies. I knew her much better than she thought. My wolf snorted at this, urging me to tear apart her facade.
“If that’s the case, then why does she have a wound on the back of her head?”
She tried to pull away from my grip on her chin, but I held firm. I was hurting her, but I didn’t give a fuck right now. Not after what
she’d done to my woman.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about. I just found her lying there. She tried to defend herself, but her eyes betrayed her.
“And you just happened to be at the same restaurant?” I wanted the full picture.
Was this premeditated or spontaneous?
“I was having lunch with Callista,” she stammered. “We had no idea Thea and her parents would be eating there too.”
She was really bad at covering her tracks.
At the mention of Callista, knowing that bitch also hated Thea, a picture of what happened started forming in my mind.
“I’m giving you one last chance to tell me exactly what happened, or swear you won’t like what I do to you, I growled, feeling my patience reaching its limits.
“I swear, I don’t know.”
“Tell me the fucking truth, Aurora!” I shouted, my voice echoing through the entire room.
Roman tried to defend his sister, “Maybe she really doesn’t know.”
Shut up, Roman. I’m not talking to you.”
My grip on her chin tightened. I swore I’d never hit a woman, but right now I really wanted to.

The Line Crossed (Part 2)
Her eyes filled with tears, but they didn’t move me. Everything I’d ever felt for her was dead now.
“I didn’t mean to,” she sobbed. “I swear, I didn’t mean to.”
“What did you do, Aurora?” Roman asked, anxiety in his voice.
He knew full well that no one crossed my lines easily, and no one hit someone I cared about and walked away
unscathed.
“I pushed her… I don’t even remember what she said to me, but I was so angry, and I pushed her hard. The back of her head hit the
wall.”
Hearing this admission, I released her as if touching something filthy She stumbled a few steps before regaining her balance.
“Not so hard to admit, was it?” I asked with a wicked smile.
“I swear it was an accident,” she explained desperately, tears still flowing. “I didn’t mean for it to happen like that.”
I didn’t want to hear her fucking excuses. Before anyone could stop me, I grabbed a fistful of her hair, yanking her head back. She let out a pained shriek, but it didn’t satisfy the beast inside me that craved vengeance and blood.
Roman rushed forward to intervene, but I shoved him away so hard he crashed into the sofa.
“Now listen,” my voice was low and dangerous, “this is the last time I’m going to say these things to you. First, I don’t love you, Aurora. Any feelings I had for you are completely gone. And you’re making me despise you because the only person I love now is Thea, the person you hurt today. You didn’t own up to your actions and chose to be a fucking coward instead.”
She tried to say something, but I tugged her hair tighter, silencing her. Tears continued to stream down her cheeks, as if my words were ripping her apart.
“Second, you made a fatal mistake by hurting Thea. Accident or not, you’ll pay for it. And third,” I leaned closer to her ear, my voice almost a whisper, “from now on, you need to stay the fuck away from Thea. If you’re in the same place, you leave immediately. If you see her walking towards you, you turn and walk away. I don’t care what you have to do to avoid her, just make sure I don’t find out you’ve been near her again. Understand?”
“Yes,” she nodded frantically, tears pouring out.
I released her hair and gripped her throat instead, not enough to hurt her, but enough to show I was serious.
“Don’t think this is over,” I warned. “If I find out you’ve gone near Thea again, even looked at her from a distance, I promise you’ll regret it.”
I let go and she immediately gasped for air, filling her deprived lungs. I turned to leave without another glance at her.
“Is that it?” Roman’s voice held a trace of fear. “She’s forgiven?”
I let out a dark laugh.
“Not even close.” I cast a disgusted look at Aurora, then turned to Roman, “You should have warned your sister not to fuck with me. Now she’ll learn the hard way what happens when you cross me.”
With that, I walked out of their house and mindlinked Rayne. After this, if Aurora had any brains, she’d stay the fuck away from me and mine, or I swore I’d destroy her.
