“Good for you mate, bitch needs to learn a lesson” he stated as if Stacy wasn’t his sister, snorts of
amusement coming from the guys as giggles and sniggers escaped the females of the pack. I couldn’t help but roll my eyes, trying to fight a grin as I did so.
“Jack! Why didn’t you help me?” Stacy just had to whine, her voice slightly croaky due to my assault on her neck. I could already see the bruises I caused healing rapidly though, they would be gone in a few minutes at the most. While she was a female shifter unfortunately, she was strangely a slow healer for a shifter but we had pegged it down to all female shifters being that way, we didn’t have anyone else to compare it to.
“Me, help you Stacy? Why would I do that?” Jack asked with a raised brow, grinning as his head snapped to the door as Chloe came bouncing in with a shy smile we had all come to know and love on her.
“I am your sister!” she screeched before wincing, Chloe flinching at the harsh tone causing Jack to become even more pissed with his sister. They didn’t get on well, but now she had upset his mate I could see the anger which flashed through his gaze as he pushed Chloe behind him slightly.
“Only by blood, but Stacy you are no sister of mine!” he snapped, Chloe rubbing his shoulders soothingly causing everyone in the pack to grin. She was a naturally shy person, but when it came to Jack she seemed to come out of her shell more.
“I’m telling dad!” she cried out. I was actually surprised his comment seemed to hit her hard, her eyes glossing over but again no one made a mood to comfort her. She had dug her own grave and nobody wanted to lie with her in it.
“Whatever Stacy” Jack muttered frowning, pulling Chloe against him as he breathed in her scent to relax him. It was clear her comment had upset him, and I didn’t like it.
“Right get your stuff and get out” I stated as I walked to grab my bag, her eyes widening comically as she gaped at me.
“What?” she gaped, obviously thinking I was kicking her out. It was in my right to do so, but unfortunately it wasn’t the right time. Her parents were staying at my own parents house while there house was getting fixed and I didn’t want my parents to have to put up with another selfish
brat.
“Get to school! I am not your fucking father Stacy but I am your alpha, you do not treat my closest friends like shit in MY pack!” I snapped at her, getting in her face as I grabbed her wrist as pulled her towards the door. I may have sounded harsh, but she needed some touch love to grow the fuck

“It’s our pack” she corrected me, everyone gaping at her in disbelief. Did she really believe she was welcome here, she was hated!
“It is not your pack Stacy, it is MINE! And while you are in my territory you are under my ruling and authority, if you don’t like it then leave!” I snapped, trying to hide a smile when I took note of how Ellie’s eyes light up as Collin pinched her thigh slightly in a playful manner but gave me a nod of respect, clearly agreeing with me.
I watched as Stacy seemed to want to say something else but thinking better of it, clearing she had some self–preservation then.
“Fine” she stated before spinning on her heel and storming out the door, going to her car as she headed to school on her own. Her parents had brought her own car for her, and while there was a pack account due to not all of my pack members coming from well off families she didn’t have a card to access it. That did remind me to get one done in Zoe’s name though, I knew she didn’t have a lot to her name but she had done incredibly well for a rouge.
“Fucking bitch” I muttered as I swung my bag over my shoulder before heading out the door, giving a short wave to everyone as they headed to their own cars and pulled out behind me.
Reaching the school I quickly made my way inside, glancing down at my watch only to sigh when I saw I was at least twenty minutes late for my first lesson. I hadn’t realised my argument with Stacy had lasted so long, but she needed to be put in her place!
Quickly heading inside I suddenly found myself frowning when I couldn’t sense Zoe inside. Even though we had yet to mate I could still tell when she was close, and I was extremely aware that she wasn’t in the school like she expected.
Walking over to the reception I immediately caught the attention of the receptionist, her eyes widening as she quickly sat up straighter. I could practically sense the nervousness coming off her in waves and I knew she would be calling her mate as soon as I left, he would be able to have a firm grip on her emotions after all and would worry.
“Alpha…sir, what can I do for you?” she asked instantly when I approached, clearly hoping that she had done nothing to bring on my temper. I wanted to roll my eyes, but I was far too interested in my mate whereabouts to bother with the action.
“Is my mate here?” I asked, already knowing she wasn’t but wanting to know if she had signed in before wondering off somewhere. If she had then she would be back soon, that was what I was hoping and counting on.
The receptionist started typing away at her keyboard without delay as her eyes quickly ran over the screens monitor, my fingers thumping on the wooden desk which I donkrad ka..

“She hasn’t signed in Sir” she muttered nervously, my nails digging into the wood causing her to
jump away from me slightly.
“Thank you” I stated before walking off, grabbing my phone from my pocket before quickly flicking through it to find her number. Where the fuck was she?
