Perhaps my resentment was too overwhelming. Sandra’s legs turned to jelly, and she slumped onto the ground. The hair on the back of her neck stood up.
Jack looked at Sandra in disbelief. His lips were pale, and he was trembling furiously. “Impossible! This is impossible!”
Albert’s men pressed the two men down in front of Jack.
“Let us go! We were only acting on Sandra’s orders!”
“Yes, it was all Sandra’s fault! We were only following orders!”
“She said that once she married into a wealthy family, she’d make sure we’d also have a good life. That was why we helped her!”
The two men were so frightened they ratted on Sandra.
“Lies! Jack, don’t listen to them! You know what my life in my family is like. Why would they listen to me?”
Albert snickered and threw a recording device on the floor. It was the conversation between Sandra and the doctor.
The doctor did not trust Sandra, so he recorded their conversation as insurance.
Sandra’s voice rang out loudly in the entire room. She was at a loss for words.
Jack angrily strangled Sandra. “You lied to me! You lied to me for so long! You killed Whitney and my son! It was you!”
Albert’s subordinates pulled Jack back.

Chapter 9
Sandra cackled. “I killed Whitney? Jack, you’re quick to rid yourself of blame! You came onto me even when you were engaged to
Whitney.
“It was you who questioned her even after she was raped! You pushed her to the brink of suicide! You were the one who called her child a bastard after she found out she was pregnant!
“You were the one who chose to pull the placenta out of her womb, leaving mother and child to die!
“You regret it now? Big deal! Jack, you might not want to admit it, but you were the one who killed Whitney and the baby!”
Jack yelled in grief and anger as Sandra laughed.
I could no longer be bothered with those two psychos. Once the truth was out, I felt much lighter.
I was no longer tied to Jack. The moment that I was free, I left the place without looking back.
I came to my grave. I was buried with my child. However, I had not seen his soul.
Perhaps he chose not to come into the world to suffer.
It was fine. I was not prepared–perhaps that was what led to his suffering. I promised I would make it up to him in our next life.
‘My baby, I love you so much.‘
Just as I was about to leave this world, Jack appeared again.
