Chapter 46
A vague thought surfaced in Jenny’s mind. Was Anathea planning to leave? If she really did, what kind of reaction would Gregory
have? Would he remain as indifferent as always, or….
As soon as Evangeline received feedback from the client, she immediately came over to praise Anathea.
Nat, you really did an amazing job this time! They’re extremely satisfied with your proposal and have even renewed a long–ter
contract with us. From now on, all their floral customization orders will be handled by our studio.”
“That’s incredible, Nat!” The other colleagues also congratulated Anathea enthusiastically.
“Who would’ve thought Nat was hiding such talent? At first, we all assumed she was just a newcomer to the industry.”
Hearing this, Anathea simply responded with a humble smile. “Compared to everyone else, I’m still a rookie, so I’ll be counting
on you all for guidance.”
“Come on, stop being so humble,” Evangeline said with a playful wink. Even if the rest of the team remained oblivious, she was
well aware of Anathea’s true talents.
Anathea smiled shyly.
“Alright. I’m in a great mood today, so how about an extra day off for everyone?” Evangeline announced loudly to the team.
As soon as she said that, the team exchanged glances before bursting into cheers. “Thank you, Ms. Holstrom!”
“It’s nothing.” Evangeline turned to Anathea with a playful wink. “It’s always good to rest well before getting back to work.”
Anathea naturally understood Evangeline’s kind intentions and nodded in agreement.
As most of the team had already left, she gathered her things, preparing to head out as well. However, just as she passed by at colleague’s desk, she heard the faint sound of her sobbing.
Anathea paused, turning her gaze toward the source of the sobs. It was a young woman with black–framed glasses, Lena Hayes.
When Anathea first joined the studio and was still adapting to the work, Lena had helped her a lot. Thanks to her, Anathea had been able to quickly catch up on five years of industry knowledge.
So now, seeing Lena’s flushed face and sorrowful expression, Anathea couldn’t bear it. She asked gently, “What happened?”
Hearing her voice, Lena lifted her head to look at Anathea. She tried to hold back her tears, but her voice still trembled as she
sobbed. “Nat, I… I’m doomed!”
At seven in the evening, a fancy private suite in Aetherbrook Hotel, the fanciest hotel in Castenea, offered the most incredible

view of the city’s dazzling night sky through its 270–degree floor–to–ceiling windows.
“Guess tonight’s my night. Pay up, pay up!” Theo shot up from his seat, excitement lighting up his face as he extended his hand
toward the three men at the table.
A young escort praised him in a sweet voice, “Mr. Harrington, you’re amazing!”
His friend, Adrian Miller, seated in a wheelchair, asked, “Tsk, you brat. How is your luck so good tonight?”
“That’s only because Gregory hasn’t joined the game yet. Every time he does, Theo gets crushed like a kid playing against an expert,” someone chuckled, glancing toward Gregory, who was lounging on the couch, talking on the phone.
With a teasing tone, he added, “Who’s he even on the phone with for so long?”
At that moment, Gregory leaned back lazily against the couch, responding to the call casually. The imposing air around him was so intense that the escorts who wanted to approach him hesitated, intimidated by his unapproachable presence.
Theo grinned, looking confident. “Do we even need to guess? It’s obviously Ms. Whitman. I just heard yesterday that she injured her leg. It seems like she needs a minor surgery. Gregory is definitely on the phone comforting her right now.”
“Oh, so that’s what’s going on…”
Sensing their nosy gazes, Gregory ended the call and casually glanced over. “What’s up?”
“Who were you on the phone with? Could it be your wife checking up on you? Maybe she found out you’re out and is trying to drag you home?” Adrian asked curiously, unconvinced that it was Natalie.
Before Gregory could respond, Theo scoffed and dismissed the idea outright. “His wife? That’s impossible! Someone like her checking up on Gregory? That’s the funniest thing I’ve heard all day.”
Just as Theo’s words fell, there was a knock on the private suite’s door, followed by the sound of it opening. Two figures stepped inside. One was a petite figure with black–framed glasses, plain and unassuming. But the other….
Gregory turned his head slightly, his eyes narrowing. It was Anathea.
