That day, Ethan was working in his study, and I was watching TV in the living room.
Suddenly, Sophia called me.
“Emma, quickly turn to the Alliance Channel, Luke Blaze is holding another press conference!”
I instantly thought, this is bad.
I switched the channel with the remote and indeed saw Luke sitting in front of the camera, pointing at his chest with two fingers,
repeatedly declaring:
“Emma loves me the most! It’s me–Luke Blaze! She will never leave me!”
A reporter in the audience raised the microphone and asked, “Excuse me, are you referring to Emma Klein, the Luna of Ethan
Stonevale?”
“Emma’s bonding with him is fake! She only loves me!”
As if he knew I was watching him on TV, he suddenly stared directly into the camera.
“Emma, tell them! Tell them it’s true!”
“We’ve been together for over twenty years. Your biggest dream since childhood was to become my Luna!”
However, the only response was silence.
The crowd whispered among themselves. Another reporter raised their hand and dropped a bombshell:
“From what we know, Emma Klein has a conflict with your Luna. We’ve retrieved surveillance footage showing that Luna Alina
and her mother staged the whole thing, and Alina’s mother stabbed herself.”
A large crystal beside Luke immediately played the surveillance footage.
The video showed Alina’s mother holding a dagger, plunging it into her own thigh, and collapsing to the ground. Then Luke’s car pulled up, he stepped out, and Alina immediately accused me of attacking her mother. Luke picked up the dagger and slashed my
arm.
Even though I had mostly recovered today, seeing this scene again still made me shiver with fear.
