I wiped away my tears with trembling hands.
“What are you doing?”
Brian’s eyes were red with fury. Just when he was about to get into a fight with Camden, his phone started ringing.
It was a recording of Dawn’s voice.
It was a ringtone specifically dedicated to her.
It seemed like Brian really loved Dawn. Even being this angry, he managed to calm down and answer her call.
“Hello, alright. I’ll come over now. Don’t be scared!”
After he said that, he ended the call and turned to leave.
“Where are you going? Aren’t you going to bury George with us as his son?”
Camden stared at Brian in disbelief.
“Since you’re all here, you don’t need me. Dawn needs me right now, so I have to go!”

He started walking out after saying that.
“You’re insane! You can’t go! You didn’t come back when your father was injured, so at least stay now to bury him!
“If you dare to leave, you will no longer be part of the Lane family! Are you going to cut your entire family off for a woman?
“Can’t you see that the person who was doing her best while your father was critically injured was your wife?”
It was hard to say what Brian was eventually convinced by, but he slowed down.
He turned around and glanced at George’s urn before taking out his phone to send Dawn a text message.
