He wanted the entire world to know who I was. To know that Mia Davis had been his wife for five years. The woman he cherished,
the woman he almost had a child with.
The autopsy report came back sooner than expected. It revealed something chilling. My heart was missing, and the unborn child
inside me had been forcibly removed.
The attending doctor, faced with mounting pressure from the police, couldn’t keep the truth hidden any longer. He surrendered
the records of his transaction with Sadie, proving his role as an accomplice.
More than that, he pulled up her real medical files. They made everything clear. Her heart condition had been fully cured years
ago while she was overseas. There was never any need for another surgery.
When Allen heard the truth, a wave of betrayal and fury crashed over him, drowning out every rational thought. Without a word,
he turned and strode to her hospital room.
Just as he reached the door, her voice pierced the air. “That bitch is dead now. This time, I won’t let go. Allen will only ever belong
to me! I won’t agree to any arranged marriage, so forget it. As long as I have Allen, what can’t I get from the Jones family?”
The door swung open with a deafening crash. There she was, lounging comfortably on the hospital bed, nibbling on fresh fruit.
There wasn’t the faintest trace of weakness from a recent surgery.
He didn’t give her a chance to explain..Without hesitation, he ordered the police to take her away.

stunned to learn he had been married all these years. But Allen offered no explanation. He only held my hand, refusing to let go.
My spirit hovered nearby, watching him. When I leaned closer, I heard his voice, soft and broken. “Mia… I will spend the rest of my life repaying everything I owe you.”
I glanced down at my body lying in the crystal casket. I was wearing the wedding dress he had spent five years designing. It
matched his suit perfectly.
I couldn’t say how I felt. My chest ached with a deep and relentless sorrow.
He had finally fulfilled the promise he once made to me. He declared to the world that I was his wife, the only legal family he had
without blood ties.
He didn’t entertain the guests or drink a single drop of alcohol. When they lowered my casket into the ground, he reserved a space
beside me-
a place for himself.

“Mia, I love you.”
A bitter smile touched my heart as the world dissolved around me.
In death, you finally learned to love me.
