I had miscarried a week ago.
A week ago… A week ago…
Zachary tried to recall what had happened a week ago.
Last week, I had found him with Sienna and ran out suddenly. Sienna had fainted from crying—at the time, he had heard that someone had been hit by a truck outside, but he had been so preoccupied with Sienna that he hadn’t bothered to check on me.
He shook his head in disbelief. He wondered if things would’ve been different if he had just turned around to look for me.
It was only now that he realized why I was at the hospital that day and why I looked so weak.
But he wondered why I hadn’t said anything.
Just then, his parents walked in.
When Julia saw Sienna hiding behind Zachary, she was furious. She stalked up to her and slapped her across the face.
Sienna, stunned by the strange woman who had just hit her, did not bother putting up her weak facade. She raised her hand to hit Julia back, only for Andrew Harrow to grab her wrist.
His piercing glare made her freeze in fear.

She slapped him, too. “And you–how dare you cheat on Evie! Are you trying to ruin our entire family’s reputation?”
Seeing her beloved Zachary being hit, Sienna lost her mind. She tried to strike at Julia, but Zachary stopped her. “What are you doing?”
In the tussle, the bracelet fell out of her pocket.
Zachary stared at the bracelet on the ground. At that moment, he connected the dots.
“Why was the bracelet in your pocket?” he demanded loudly. “What did you say to Evie?”
Startled by his reaction, Sienna immediately switched to her usual pitiful demeanor. “I didn’t say anything to her.”
“What? Evie was here?”
Julia had sensed that something was off with Zachary ever since her last visit. She had had someone investigate him secretly and found out about Sienna.
She didn’t know that I knew about her. She planned to get rid of Sienna before I found out, but now, she knew that I knew
