However, Ryan seemed to have forgotten how he had thrown away the food I cooked in front of me every time I delivered them after Nancy maligned me. The look of disdain he gave me made it seem like what I made was not food but something dirty.
I blocked Ryan’s number after that.
Just when I thought peace and quiet had returned to my world, the brothers appeared at Cole’s door. They quickly approached me and blocked my way with loving looks when they saw me walk out the door.

“Whatever happened was my fault. I promise to change, Paige. Can you forgive me?”
I shook my head as I looked into their sincere eyes.
“When I tried to prove my innocence back then, did you believe me when I showed you my diagnosis report from five years ago?
Both of you never believed me. Let’s just pretend the last five years didn’t happen.”
Luke’s eyes turned red instantly. There was despair in his eyes. “You said you’d stay by our side forever, Paige. You can’t treat us
this way.”
“We know we were wrong. Why can’t you give us another chance?”
I continued shaking my head.
“You knew very well that I was afraid of the water, but you still pressed my head into the water. Why didn’t either of you think
about giving me a chance back then?”
I returned to the villa after that and closed the doors.
My life went on as usual. When it got dark, I checked the surveillance to see if Cole had come home but instead, I saw Ryan and Luke standing outside the door without budging. I ignored them.
Just when I thought this was over, they returned the next day. This time, they brought Nancy with them. Her face was covered with blood, and her exposed arms and legs were covered with wounds.
Ryan released Nancy’s bound–up hands when he saw the shocked look on my face. Luke kicked her viciously, causing her to fall in
front of me.
“We’ve brought the culprit behind everything, Paige. You can do anything you want to her as long as it cheers you
