“It’s others who stirred things up and made it worse.” Elvira’s voice trembled as she spoke.
Eros nodded, his expression cool. “Good. I, Eros, never use my power to bully others.”
“Right is right, wrong is wrong.”
Taking my hand, he led me toward Elvira.
Frightened, Elvira recoiled, but Eros’s voice cut through the air like a command. “Stand up.”
His tone wasn’t harsh, yet it carried an undeniable authority.
Even though she was beaten and broken, Elvira dared not defy him. Gritting her teeth, she slowly rose, wincing in pain.
On her right shoe, a clear footprint was visible.
Eros turned to me, his voice soft but firm, “Wife, do you want to step on her left foot?”
Without hesitation, I smiled at him and brought my foot down hard on Elvira’s left foot.
She let out a muffled cry, but I didn’t let up. I pressed all my weight onto her foot, forcing her to endure the pain.
Her sobs grew louder and between them, she whimpered, “Alora, I was wrong; please forgive me.”
I released my foot and now her left shoe bore the same mark as her right.
The footprint on her left shoe was entirely different from the one on her right.
Elvira’s face drained of color.
With that, Eros’s voice was frigid. “Who exactly dirtied your shoes?”
Elvira hesitated, stammering, “I didn’t see.”
Eros signaled for a bodyguard. “I don’t believe someone could have dirtied their shoes and not seen it.”
“Think carefully,” he added.
The bodyguard wasted no time, treating Elvira no differently than he would a man.
Soon, her screams filled the room, echoing off the walls.
Finally, through her sobs, Elvira cried, “I remember now. My shoes were dirtied by myself.”
“I was wrong, Mr. Ferrari; please forgive me.”
Eros didn’t spare her another glance. He waved his hand, signaling the bodyguard to step back.
Turning to the businessmen, his tone as cold as ice, he asked, “You’re all titans of industry, brilliant men. Are you truly unable to solve this, or simply unwilling to?”
“It would’ve taken seconds to clear my wife’s name, yet you all sided with them, wrongfully accusing and beating her. Do you think you can bully me just because I wasn’t here?”
The businessmen, terrified, lowered their heads, not daring to utter a word.

accusing and beating her. Do you think you can bully me just because I wasn’t here?
The businessmen, terrified, lowered their heads, not daring to utter a word,
Eros sneered, his voice dripping with disdain. “Within three years, Accetta Group will no longer work with any of you.”
The businessmen turned pale at the punishment, some grimacing in pain.
Without Accetta Group’s partnership, many of them would face bankruptcy.
Eros’s gaze turned cold as he focused on Silas. “As for you… I’m afraid I’ll have to pay special attention to you.”
“No matter who you partner with, I will make sure they feel the weight of my power.”
“Anyone who does business with you will become my enemy.”
Silas appeared drained, his eyes hollow with despair as he met Eros’s gaze. “Mr. Ferrari, are you trying to ruin me?”
Eros didn’t bother to respond, turning to leave and pulling me along with him.
But just then, Silas’s voice rang out, desperate and pleading. “Mr. Ferrari, I have a secret to tell you. Can you let me go?”
“It’s about your wife, Alora.”
Silas’s words hit me like a cold gust of wind, freezing my body in place.
But Eros didn’t falter.
He spoke calmly, his voice steady, “We are one. Our hearts are united. There’s no need to listen to your attempts at sowing discord.”
Tears welled in my eyes, my nose tingling as they rolled down my cheeks.
Desperation clouded Silas’s words as he shouted from behind us, “Eros, Alora’s been married before. I’m her ex–husband.”
