Just then, his office door swung open. Jasmine entered, all smiles as she held a lunch box. She said, “You haven’t been eating well these past few days, so I made you chicken noodle soup. Do you want to have some?”
He was already going out of his mind over Quinn. Jasmine’s presence didn’t help with that–his eyes gleamed icily at the sight of
her.
Still, he supposed she had some use. He was sure Quinn would return to him once she saw his determination to make it up to her.
At that thought, he smiled and accepted Jasmine’s chicken noodle soup. She was delighted by that. All her collaborations had been stopped, thanks to what Quinn had done during the wedding. She’d even been switched out for other actresses for the roles she
was supposed to act in.
She’d been overwhelmed by the past few days‘ events, yet Nicholas seemed oblivious. Quinn was all he could think about.
She said, “It breaks my heart to see you hurting yourself over Quinn like this, Nicholas. She wouldn’t have left without a word if
she truly cared about you. She only got with you because of your company, unlike me.

“I wouldn’t have left you back then if your money was what I wanted. Wouldn’t I have plenty of that if I’d stuck by your side?”
Nicholas merely listened silently as she spoke, making her think he was starting to see sense. She struck while the iron was hot and asked, “How about we get married?”
He slapped her with all his might at the mention of marriage, making blood trickle down the corner of her lip. “Who allowed you to speak of Quinn like that to my face? You don’t even deserve to mention her name! I won’t invest a dime in you from now on-
get the hell out of here!
“Don’t think I don’t know money was exactly why you left me back then. You’re only back now because you think you can eke
more benefits out of me now that you feel my family can’t control mel
“My family already started relenting; when I threatened them with death. However, you immediately took the money and left when you heard I would lose the right to inherit the family fortune by being with you!”
Jasmine turned ashen at his words. She was about to try to defend herself when Nicholas retrieved a contract from his drawer.
“Do you know how much money the company has lost because of you?
“Per your contract, you’ll need to compensate the company personally for those losses. I’d advise you to start thinking of ways to
get that money,”
He threw the contract at her face before summoning security to have her thrown out of the building
Someone happened to snap a photo of this scene. Nicholas was the boss behind the scenes, so people would generally forget
about his bad behavior after criticizing him.
Things were different for Jasmine, though. No company would want to have anything to do with a celebrity once they were exposed for having a bad character.
After Jasmine was gone, Nicholas dug out an old script from his drawer. It was one he’d written himself. He’d promised Quinn that he would write her a script and cast her in the main role if she joined his company. He’d later forgotten about it, though.
Now, he wanted to finish writing the script and make Quinn his leading lady again.
Quinn felt like she’d slept for a long, long time–so long that she felt she was probably dead. As she slept, she kept hearing a voice
speaking to her.
When she opened her eyes, Gabriel was the first person she saw.
