A man who was on the same tour approached me and failed to wake me up despite calling me several times. Left with no choice,

It was only after that that I regained consciousness. I opened my eyes and saw him nodding off by my bedside.
Perhaps I’d startled him when trying to sit up in bed–his jaw slipped off his hand, and he almost fell.
I was surprised when I saw his face. “It’s you?”
He scratched his head shyly. “I noticed that you were always alone, so I paid a bit more attention to you. Everyone got off the bus,
but I didn’t see you around. So, I got back on and tried to wake you up, but you didn’t respond. I had no choice but to get you to
the hospital.”
I remembered him. I’d occasionally felt his gaze on me throughout the trip. Initially, I’d been uncomfortable. I thought he was up
to no good. But once, I almost fell into the water while admiring it. He’d been the one to catch me and pull me back to safety.
After that, I’d set aside my prejudice toward him. Now, he’d saved me again. I didn’t know how to thank him.

“Thank you so much,” I said. “If not for you, I would’ve died on that bus.”

He didn’t treat me with the fierceness Chuck had displayed. Instead, he was gentle and understanding. So, I told him everything.
Jordan pursed his lips after listening to my story. He was indignant on my behalf. “I can’t believe such a dumb man exists in this
world. If I were to run into him one day, I’d definitely teach him a lesson.”
It was only when Jordan brought me back to my hotel that I realized we stayed at the same one.
