Hearing his words, Rebecca completely panicked.
She clutched her stomach tightly as if her life depended on it.

The Pittman family was no longer what it used to be. They had been teetering on the edge of bankruptcy for a long time.
If she couldn’t keep this child, she would have no way of securing her position as Mrs. Gallagher.
What was worse, she might even end up being handed over to that disgusting old pervert to be toyed with like some object!
Her face went as pale as a sheet.
Without thinking, she grabbed her phone, ready to call Caroline.
Caroline valued children above all else. As soon as she found out Rebecca was pregnant, she would definitely find a way to protect
her!
But before the call could connect, Matteo kicked the phone away without hesitation.
He stood up, nudging Rebecca’s chin upward with the tip of his shoe, his voice ice–cold.

“Be good and get rid of the child. The divorce papers are already finalized. Whether you agree or not doesn’t matter. Stop wasting your time on these ridiculous tricks.
“When I find Eve, you’d better apologize properly. If she’s willing to forgive you, I might let you keep your pathetic life.”
He didn’t leave Rebecca any room to argue.
In front of him, she had always been the one desperately trying to please.
Rebecca collapsed onto the floor, completely disheveled, yet she still clutched her stomach protectively.
Her future wouldn’t be ruined entirely as long as the baby was born safely.
However, Matteo wasn’t going to give her that chance.
He had already done many things that hurt Evelyn. If this child remained, then any hope of making things right with her would be gone forever.
His face darkened with resolve. He ordered the guards to drag her to the hospital.
Rebecca struggled, kicked, and screamed, begging for mercy, but no amount of resistance could break free from the grip of the bodyguards.
